Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The only gripe in my room could have benefitted from blackout curtains. The window was only covered by nets which let a lot of light in. There are shutters but they were locked in position. Minor niggle but easily fixed.
Great location, staff really helpful and friendly . Prices were excellent for room and breakfast.

A shame there are no hairdryers or irons in the room. You can hire a hairdryer but we didn't want to risk there not being any left so had to take our own. Also tea/coffee facilities in the room would be great.
Fantastic location, staff very friendly. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the poached eggs at breakfast were amazing! A wonderful little find and very good value for money.

The access to the room is by a steep staircase, it was well lit, however would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. It did not detract from my stay, just be aware if steps can be an issue to you.
Staff extemely helpful, room was large and bright had a small kitchenette everything wa clean and the room was serviced daily. Perfect location in the old town. This was my first stay at Irati it hopefully wont be my last.

Would be good to have a kettle in room and air con unit not the most efficient but luckily wasn’t to hot to need it

The hotel was in a great location, on a quiet aside street in the old town. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely.

No swimming pool. The balcony door did not lock properly, which to be honest, is normal for Spain. Didn't feel combatable leaving our belongings in the room.

Wasn't unhappy with anything apart from disrespectful guests a couple of nights being noisy through the night when coming in at the early hours but you can't legislate for that, nothing to do with the hotel.
The Room was spotless with an excellent Shower and the Bed was very comfortable. The Location is Fantastic absolutely perfect for our stay so close to the beach and on the Old Town

I loved staying here and have already booked to stay again. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the room was serviced every day. The staff are all really nice and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I haven't got a bad word to say about the hotel. It far exceeded my expectations, I've stayed in worse 3* hotels than this. Bed was 1 of the most comfiest I've slept in an hotel, room was spotless and cleaned/tidied everyday and the breakfast was great. Great location in the old town. What's not to like for the price? Will definitely use again when going to Benidorm

Was a bit noisy through the night but understandable as we were very close to the walking street. We stayed in the block next to the hotel itself as we asked for a balcony, would definitely stay again but request to stay in hotel this time. I did feel for the person who lives on the ground floor as main door was constantly being left to swing shut and made an awful bang.
Ideal location walking distance to both beaches and lots of places to eat and drink close by. Added advantage of having a fridge/freezer in the room, was able to freeze water bottle to take to the beach so water stayed cooler for longer.

There weren't any tea making facilities which seemed a bit odd, but you could go downstairs and get a tea for just over €1. There was a fridge in the room so it seemed odd there was no tea making.
The room was a good size and very clean. The bathroom was exceptional. The location of the hotel is so close to everywhere and was easy to find. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The tea was the nicest we got in Bendorm.
