Air con kept turning itself on every 20 mins, bit annoying when trying to sleep.

Room was clean and adequate for our needs, staff very friendly, very good communication. Very interesting building, its like 2 buildings joined together with interlinking bridges on each floor. Very central location, perfect for exploring Barcelona City.

Kettle was in the room but no coffee/tea provided at all. It was noisy at night. Isolation is very poor, very thin walls

Strangely, there was no spoon to stir your drink with. I made do without and could have probably gotten one had I asked.

In a good location. A little side street within the Gothic Quarter. The room was functional, with a kettle and a mug. Provided toiletries were basic, hand soap at the basin, soap dispenser in the shower. Water in the shower nice and hot with consistent temperature. The walls were thin and you could hear noises from the neighbours but , in my room, I heard no noise from the outside. There was a window and AC in the room. Ear plugs were provided. WIFI seemed to working fine. There was a safe in the room. I found the staff o be friendly and helpful. Room was made up with fresh towels after the first night of my two night stay.

Due to improper ventilation of the bathroom there was always residual moisture with its associated smell present (however no obvious signs of mold!).

It was very noisy at night- windows are in no way soundproof- be prepared with good grade earplugs!

The staff were so helpful and kind. My daughter got sick, and they immediately rang an English speaking doctor for us. The location was super. The room was basic, but clean. The room was cleaned each day.

No natural light at all in my room, the bathroom didn’t have a vent (fine if you’re staying on your own, problematic if more than one person).

Stayed here for the marathon. Great location in the gothic square, walking distance to everywhere in the center, and walking distance to marathon start and finish. Clean room, easy check in and check out and there is an elevator, the wifi worked well

Asked to leave our luggage at front desk before check in which they would’ve happily supplied but were actually able to offer us a surprise early check in which was greatly appreciated from two tired travellers.

Wi-Fi kept disconnecting.

Convenient location, near Rambla and major attractions, easy to travel to/from airport by metro. Neighborhood is a bit shady but there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Pretty basic room but everything was there. We had no problem with noise outside.

There was lots of noise during the night (I was able to sleep anyway but just saying for lighter sleepers). I found some hair in the shower that was not mine.

The hostal is located in the very center of Barrio Gotico (5-6 mins from la rambla and from the metro station). I would recommend it for 2 nights staying in Barcelona. The reception is 24h and they clean everyday the room (mine was with private bathroom).

You can hear everything at all hours . The cleaners checked out a room beside us one morning and hiroshima would have been quieter (all while shouting on phone , which was heard too).
