Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalIn my opinion the room I stayed in is too small. I mean, it's ok for one night but too small for the price.
The staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the location is just perfect.

TurkeySmall rooms can be a bit of a problem for families. Also, climbing 1 flight of stairs to the lobby is quite tiring if you have luggage and a stroller.
The accommodation was good. The staff is super. The location is great.

GreeceQuite noizy during the night. We ran out of handwash but it was never refilled (we did not ask for a refill tbh, however they did not check). Our bathroom was provided only with a fixed cealing-mount shower head, so in case you are a woman with long hair and you do not want to make them wet every time you take a shower, you will definitely need a shower cap. The third day we asked our towels to be renewed but they did not do so (maybe because we had to leave the next day - but the towels were overused and should have been replaced).
The location was great the metro station is literally 10m away, the stuff was welcoming and kind, the breakfast more than sufficient and the rooms convenient enough for two people. They also provided us with a 10% discount coupon (plus welcome drink) for the resto downstairs which btw was really good and vfm.

FranceRoom was really very very small... hardly any free space. You can jump right into the bathroom from the bed. Not all rooms are same so better to take into account the room size before booking.
Location, location, location! The best part. Right in fronb of the Liceu Metro statio on the "La Ramblas" which connects the entire city very well. Wonderful view from the balcony! Very clean property. Super friendly and supportive staff. My special mention to Mr. Evan!:) Best for solo backpackers or weekend trips as there's no place to keep luggage although they have cleverly utilised one corner space by creating a cabinet kind of thing. Not all rooms are same so better to take into account the room size before booking. Overall the property is recommended to go for!

PolandIt would be great to have a small kettle in the room. During the weekend it was a little bit noisy, but I was aware of it.
Hotel is situated in the middle of the La Rambla. Metro station Liceu is just in front of it. Hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The room was big enough. Breakfast was included and tasty. The staff was nice and helpful.

TurkeyWhen you come to Barcelona, you won't be spending much time in the room anyway, so the hostel stands out with its location and cleanliness despite the room sizes. The size of our room was sufficient, they created enough space with a compact design. We had read that the hostel's location was good, but we didn't expect it to be this amazing. We stayed for 4 nights and left very satisfied. I recommend it.

BelgiumHonestly the first impression is a bit scary and I think the price could be a bit lower for what is offered. The beds were OK but I wouldn't want to stay and sleep on them all week.My sleep wasn't disturbed but I can imagine if the hotel is full you can be bothered by noise from neighbours or the hallway.
The receptionists were very nice ladies. I was a bit afraid to leave my luggage before check-in but it is stored locked away, 100% secure. Everyone was nice and polite, the staff at breakfast and cleaning staff as well. Breakfast was not super rich but it was definitely enough. I would have appreciated some fresh vegetables myself. The room was small but very smartly designed. You have everything you might need and everything was clean! I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't bothered by any noise from the street. The location is super convenient!

PolandQuite noisy area during the night, we had window to La Rambla which is too noisy during the night due to night parties on the street... and during the day due to car traffic jams and lot of tourists outside...
Very good location on La Rambla - walking distance to city center and to metro station - very convenient! Very small room but it is possible to use common room downstairs - canteen with coffee and tea between - 2pm - 11.59 pm.

PortugalRooms are tiny and can be loud, as both the door and the walls are not sound proof. I could also hear some noise coming from the Rambla late at night.
Location, next to the Rambla and a metro station, and breakfast were good, especially for a short business trip. The personnel was also very friendly and helpful during my stay at the hotel.

United KingdomThe room was a little tighter then a colleague but nothing to stop me from using it on a future visit.
Friendly staff welcomed us and had our keys at hand when we came and went. Built in ceiling music was a nice touch. Good amount of lighting within the room. The location of Marenostrum is great for the underground although you do feel the undertones sometimes but nothing you would notice to interrupt you selling.

IndiaAs the room and bathroom size are small (which I did not expect) a bit of facility of odour neutralising spray for thebathroom would be helpful. A coffer making facility in the room would be fantastic.

United States of AmericaOr room, a triple, was right behind the registration desk. Very noisy with people checking in and out, could hear phone ringing. Beds were fair. No elevator - 12 stairs up to lobby, difficult for an elderly person.
Breakfast included was very nice. On a side street adjacent to Las Ramblas, many shops and restaurants, plus La Boqueria close by.
