Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No air-conditioning. Showers leaked outside of the tub.

The bathroom looks modern and clean but functioned poorly. It has two shower heads, the overhead one needs to be positioned carefully as the first it we used it the water poured off the shower base and towards the bathroom door. Unfortunately, staff are aware of it and the cleaning lady kindly gave us extra towels to build a barrier but the damage to the edge of the wall behind the door is sad to see. We solved it by turning the head towards the front wall and keeping the pressure low. The other solution is to use the handheld shower head, but I have never worked out how to hold it and lather up at the same time!
The staff were attentive, spoke good English and always around. The mattress and pillow were very comfortable and rooms quiet. Very easy walk to the beach. Breakfast was good.

They said it in the advert but no aircon in the room, I was there end of august and the fan itself was enough, the room wasn't hot at all.
The center is less than 10 min walking, the closer beach 3 min walking. The area is quiet. The staff was nice. The room was cleaned. I had a simple room (one bed and a bathroom) and it was perfect with space to put my things, good ratio quality-price. A lot of persons in the comments said it was noisy, I did a lot of hostals and between 1am and 8:30am I didn't hear anything, it just depends of your neighbors unfortunately. Also, there is a supermarket just near the hostal which is super convenient!

A bit tired hotel, need to be painted and improved. You could not watch television. Noisy outside. But the bar was excellent with nice bar staff and nice service.
the hotel has a good location not far from the beach where you can walk along the promenade. In the bedroom, there was not a television, no table or chair, not even 2 plastic gobelets in the bathroom. It was very noisy with people having drinks. Likely, it s stop around mid night. Also, in the bedroom, there was not any hanger coats. The room was spacious. The bed cover has stains, not clean.

No plug for the sink or bath, bath had looked like a animal had died in it, place wasn’t very clean And very basic, did it’s job but the shower controls where that high up it was a struggle and I’m 6ft2

Very peaceful location, several minutes walk from the beach! Very friendly, helpful staff that was always there to assist! The staff can also speak various languages so we had absolutely no problems in communicating with them. The room and the hostal itself was very clean, it smelled nice everywhere.

I've been scammed 80 euros. I would not trust them anymore. Not nice smell. There are other hotels much better with tv and swimming pool in the same street for 10 euros more.

There was a very small and old fan in the room which wasn't sufficient for 2 person. Room furnitures were old and not hotel like. Very old toilet door with a big gap at the bottom.
Price was reasonable. Very close to beach. Supermarket and restarants nearby.

Friendly staff at the hostel. Fast internet. The room matched the photo. There was hot water, shower gel and soap. Clean towels. Breakfast was everything you need. Comfortable bed. The hostel is located near the beach.
