Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandBeds slightly too soft for me but my family slept very well.
Our room had a balcony which overlooked the Santa Maria Del Pi Church. It was clean and check in was quick. The staff were helpful and arranged taxis to the Port. We only stayed for one night before a Cruise. Central to Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas.

DenmarkVery kindly staff - and great and quick replys on question asked via Booking.com app The room has what you need - and a small refrigerator - which was nice - but think it only cools when you have your card in the slot, beeing in the room. The venitaltion on the bathroom was great. First night was cold - only a bedsheet. Asked the reception if I could get a blanket or summerduvet. They showed me how to turn on the heating in the room. A window could be open towards a small outdoor area, which was nice, as I lived on 4 th floor. Location so central - just 100 meters from Las Ramblas - but no noise. No breakfast at the hotel - but I was aware of that. Was told I could cross the street (10 meters) and buy breakfast at the hotel there. I did - and fantastic breakfast for 15 euros. This hotel also has a very nice garden and a great outdoor area. Really lovely. I will at any time come back to Hotel Ingles for another stay. Lived at a 2 star hotel before staying at Hotel Ingles - and it was not worth 2 stars. Hotel Ingles should be 2 stars. Wifi was fine - no problems.

GermanyOne day an employee left us and many other guests outside the hotel for like 20 minutes... The door was closed and there was.nobody in the reception, luckily this happened at 10 pm and not at 3 in the morning when the neighborhood can be a bit more dangerous.
Clean, the employees super friendly, the location near to everything you will need or want to see!!

MoldovaThe double bed a little too small for a couple. It was quite noisy during the night but it is more a question of other visitors lack of manners.
Great location, really close to La Rambla, the Barcelona Cathedral and El Pont del Bisbe and other famous locations. Helpful and welcoming staff. Clean rooms and facilities.

United States of AmericaThere were some additional blankets that were provided that had some questionable stains on them. It wasn't too big of a deal since I used one of these blankets over the top of the sheets and blankets already on the beds. But some extra attention to the condition of the linens would be appreciated. The shower did not have a door or a curtain, only a glass pane that covered about 50% of one of the two sides. This caused water to go everywhere on the floor despite best efforts to shower without splashing. Very limited shelf/sink space within the bathrooms to place any items. There were not very many surfaces within the room itself to place items.
Staff was very friendly and helpful! The cleaning staff were great and did a great job tidying the room and replacing towels when we needed service. The room was reasonably quiet even though the walls are thin. The bed was quite comfortable for me, and I slept great for my trip, though my companions didn't feel the same about their beds. Mileage may vary. The location is fantastic, right in a perfect spot within the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Walking distance to many different great attractions and food. There is a metro stop nearly steps away on La Rambla that gives you access to the whole city!

United KingdomExpensive for the rating of the hotel 1 star, but in its location it was one of the most reasonable room rates. breakfast wasn't available in the hotel but there was a fantastic place next door for breakfast and many bakeries that served breakfast, pastries, juice, coffee, for €5 each.
The Location just metres from La Rambla and a Metro station. There were many good restaurants and bakeries in close proximity. our balcony opened onto the street below and since we visited in the festival of santa eulalia we could see the parades in the street below. we, family of 4, didn't spend much time in the hotel but the bathroom was clean and the shower had great pressure and temperature. the cleaners made up the beds and changed the towels as soon as we left the room every morning. the reception stayed open for us until 2am when we checked in because of the late arrival of our flight and our taxi not being there as requested.

MontenegroYou could hear the noise from the outside, and since it is in the center of town, there was noise during the night. But we knew that that would be the case, so it was ok for us.
Perfect location, the rooms are basic but if you plan just to spend the night as we did, they have everything you need and are cleaned regularly, so we were satisfied with our choice.

GermanyValue for money is all that I have to say. There are no dislikes as I received what I payed for. It is worth it to book a room here.
Everything about the facilities is what we can expect from a 1 star hotel. It is good enough, without luxury, which is perfectly fine since they are delivering what they promised and we are receiving what we booked. The staff is also very nice. And although they don't have a dining area, there is an agreement with a restaurant besides the hotel for a discount for the hotel clients. The true PLUS side of this hotel is it's location, just perfect, I couldn't ask for a better location!!!

United KingdomThere is no food or drink services in the hotel, however that is a small problem as there is places to eat and drink everywhere. It is just a hotel room, if you’re expecting more you’ll be disappointed, but it’s perfect for a short stay.
The hotel is in a perfect location in the Gothic Quater, everywhere including beaches and historic landmarks can be reached by foot. The rooms are basic but Barcelona isn’t somewhere you would go for the hotel alone, the bathroom and beds do the job. This was my second time staying in this hotel, and it was just as good as the first time.
