The beds were not very comfortable and I wanted a double bed but it had twin beds...not happy about that. The decor of the room was a bit dated. The shower over the bath didn't work properly due to it needing a new shower head. The bath tap was turned into a shower hose and shower head so you weren't able to have a bath if you wanted to.

The location of the Hotel Kaktus was fantastic. The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. The Buffet was good with plenty choice of food. The room was a great size with a sofa to sit on too.The water was lovely and warm, so was the room. There was also a quiet fridge which was very useful in the room.

Having to pay €3 a day for a safe. We have been in cheaper hotels and had a free safe.

There was kettle but no complimentary tea / coffee. Only one thin pillow provided. Entertainment was limited to formal dancing and a lot of seats were pre-reserved for dancers.

The breakfast buffet was extensive, but some items were a humdrum in terms of quality or flavour. Parking in the secure underground car park was an extra 12 euros - not a strong criticism, but worth knowing.

Our room for three nights was above the sea front with a beautiful view around the bay to Altea and the mountains. It was comfortable, spacious and clean. The hotel decor, with colourful balcony windshields and cloud-effect glass at the rear of the building is unusual and attractive, including a decorative staircase.

Reception and bar staff miserable and rude, not welcoming - remember customers PAY your wages, no customer = no money = no wages/job ! The restaurant Managers and staff very courteous and helpful, very considerate towards customers with disabilities!

Deceived by Booking.com on the standard of room. I booked a standard room, got a “Budget “ room instead. No view, dark, old decor & furniture, not a 4* room compared to other rooms. Good selection of food. Good health & safety standards.

One waitress in the dining room had a bad cold. The dinner, meat, potatoes and vegetables were all cold, my wife heated it in a microwave for me. I asked for the half bottle of red wine and a bottle of mineral water and we were brought a glass of water and about a quarter of a bottle of already opened house wine. There are cups and a kettle in the room along with two tea bags but nothing else.

Everything was very clean. Breakfast is good.

A good value hotel right on the beach with easy access to some great restaurants. The hotel also had entertainment on both nights, so bring your dancing shoes. Breakfast is an expansion of food and an excellent buffet with everything to please all tastes.

Fabulous location right back from the beach.. The hotel is also well served by a variety Of bars and restaurants an easy stroll.away. The options for a later check out and for Picnics and mini bars are a great idea. Pleasant reception ans bar staff .
