Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt would be nice to have access to a kettle, tea, coffee, water and milk in the communal area. There is a fridge so some water and milk in there would have been perfect.
The rooms are clean and spacious and the hosts are delightful.

United KingdomA bit tricky to find.
It was quiet and picturesque. Beautifully restored stone and timber buildings. It was wonderfully cool on what was a very hot day, there was antique furniture, authentic touches, polished hardwood staircase, a pretty garden.

The Host and Owner of this Beautiful Hotel is a Young Lady by the name of SINVIA, and she is really nice and helpful, and although busy running the hotel always has time to stop and chat with her guests, I thoroughly recommend this Lovely Place.

United KingdomWe had the smallest room, which was a bit tight for us. Next time we’ll go for one of the other 3! Lacks facilities in the dining area. Would have been great to make a coffee or tea.
Location is really peaceful surrounded by beautiful countryside. Really friendly welcome when we arrived. Aguilar de Campoo nearby has good facilities

United KingdomTIP: Aguilar de Campoo is just 'down the road' and features several pub-style bars in its attractive historical main square and numerous eateries of all kinds. There are supermarkets too for those who want to cater for themselves. Incidentally-if you are coming from Aguilar your GPS will direct you left into a wide though short street. Immediately on your right as you enter you will notice a narrow road (which you may take for a footpath). There is a not particularly prominent and easy to miss signpost there, but in any event turn down this little road and keep following it until you pass through double gates onto the property. In other words you will be essentially behind the principally directed road.
We were looking for an overnighter before catching the Santander ferry and this small country property fitted the bill since its not far off the motorway in a hamlet just beyond Aguilar de Campoo. Set among dramatic scenery, this place is a cosy traditional stone building with ample out of the way parking. The real star is the delightful Sylvia who speaks fluent English and is the epitome of hospitality. Our Bedroom was small but homely and we had access to a large lounge in the evening warmed by a lovely wood burner. Breakfast , from regional ingredients, was home-made in the main by our hostess. Artisan toasted breads baked very locally , butter, her own delicious membrillo, freshly squeezed orange juice and her home-made compote of yoghurt and apples. This would make an ideal spot for touring the region for cyclists and bikers I think as well as motorcar drivers as we were this time.

United KingdomThe room was (as detailed in the description) was small. You could not fully open any one of the bedroom, bathroom or cupboard doors because of the position of radiators or furniture. We were the only guests staying on the night we were there. We asked for breakfast for 9:30 - we got down 10 minutes late to find the toast and (our one cup of) coffee cooling. A bit of flexibility around service - bearing in mind the lack of guests - would have been good.
The property was clean and very well maintained. We were met by Sylvia who was very welcoming. The property is situated in a very quiet area that is easily accessible from the nearby A67. The description and detail of the facilities were accurate.
