We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SpainBreakfast a bit limited for those who can't eat gluten but otherwise fab. More inside social space would have been nice too. Food in the restaurant generally limited to a few snacks. Would be a 10 out of 10 otherwise.
The location was amazing. We had the sound of a little stream running past the window. Peace all around. Besnes is in a great location for exploring local towns and the beautiful walks of the Picos de Europa. It is also only 35 minutes drive to some fabulous beaches - such as Ballota. Recommended to take a delightful walk up to the bar in Alles too, for breathtaking views, and really good local cheese and ham.

NetherlandsThe bed was a bit uncomfortable (hard matress) and over the last two nights, a snoring neighbour woke us up often during the night. Before their arrival however no problem in terms of noise; so also could have been because of their stronger lungs :')
Very kind people and beautiful surroundings. It is very peaceful and they make you feel free and at home right away. Spacious rooms, clean and calm.

NetherlandsKitchen is tiny and not functional. Damaged pans, hardly any utensils. Beds were very very hard. You have to park directly in front of your door. Its noisy, neighbors are loud until late hours. Didn’t see the staff, they are separate from the hotel that is on the same grounds.

SpainTotally unconvinced by caution around covid as breakfast was buffet with people cutting bread slices from a shared loaf and salt was in a small dish where you could see other peoples fingers had taken a pinch.

United KingdomThe bed was really uncomfortable, very hard and could feel the springs. Woke up several times with body aches from sleeping on this. The rooms are not noise isolated, when the air conditioner automatically goes off at about 4am you can hear others snoring, in their bathrooms etc. It doesn't feel well ventilated, there's an air con as mentioned but this automatically switches off and it can become stuffy. Finally, the restaurant, which is completely optional to dine in, was quite disappointing. It felt as though some (not all!) of the food was not fresh and simply unfrozen e.g. calamari and chips. Overall, for the cost per night it was disappointing but appreciate it's been a rough 18 months and many places are just getting back again. Hopefully some of the above feedback can be worked through to improve stay for others!
It's located in the middle of the countryside and the property is kept really clean. The pillows are really comfortable and they provide an extra one in each wardrobe.
