Our room had two doors that opened out to a small balcony and provided a good view of the old surrounding buildings. The bed was super comfortable and the place was spotlessly clean. There are bars and clubs in the street and there was noise some nights from patrons leaving these places, however the balcony doors were double glazed and there were wooden door shutters that muted the noise. The hotel is in a great location and we walked all over Madrid without having to use the Metro once. There is a supermarket just down the road and a simple shared kitchen facility for guests with complimentary tea and coffee. There is a lift to get your luggage up to the room.

The location is perfect-very close to one of the main streets in Madrid, however it was pretty quiet. Most of the sightseeings are located near by.

Nice and comfortable place. Very clean bathroom. Bed is great for comfortable sleeping, pillows and blanket was fresh and clean. I liked that they use natural fabrics in the bedding and minimalistic curtains.

The bathroom is OK but there are some noises that can be annoying, also in the soundproofing could be better.

The staff is excellent and very helpful...the location is awsome and the place is very clean and well entertained.

The sound isolation (lack of it) can be quite annoying - you can hear sounds both from the street and other visitors.

Excellent hotel regarding to location and services. A few minutes walk to the heart of Madrid, and a small kitchen for living convenience. I would strongly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Location was great - so near Gran Via and the metro. Handy supermarket. Communal space with lovely coffee machine and tea making facilities. Nice size room and bathroom with a good shower. Good heating in the room. We liked the old feel in the building with simple modern room

It was all fantastic.

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay. I received an email in advance informing me of ways I could get from the airport to Hostal La Zona. This was excellent and very helpful. The location is fantastic and is walking distance to all of the highlights. Everything is on your door step. It's also surrounded by great clothes shops and there is a supermarket next door. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and cosy. It was also extremely safe which was very important to me. The bathroom was lovely and the shower was so nice, great pressure and there were toiletries in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and it was a cosy stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

A pocket full of keys, but I understand that the cost of electronic locks would likely be unaffordble for a small hotel.

A simple, but very clean and centrally located small hotel. Staff great and for the price the size of the room and what you got represents very good value for money.

A very nice and helpful staff. The room was super clean and had all the amenities you need. In a common room you could make yourself tea and coffee and had the possibility to store food/drinks in a fridge and heat them up in a microwave. The accomodation is super central -you can easily get to the different neighbourhoods and sights on foot or by bus/metro. It is a very quiet street during the day but it can get very noisy at night -at least over the weekend-as there are many food places/bars in the vicinity. I would book the sccomodation again

The room is very small, there is not even space to open a suitcase, the toilet and shower room is very small, there is hardly any room to move. The walls are thin and you can hear everything that happens in the adjacent rooms.

Only last night , someone moved in to the room next door and the walls are really thin and his snoring was ruthless

Definitely the location , great spot , walk-in distance to everything and supermarket just next door. Big plus was the coffee machine in the kitchen - saved my mornings

The room was stunning. Had a beautiful balcony, private bathroom/shower. Big comfy bed. Everything was super clean and the staff were super helpful. My flight was delayed and I was able to communicate with staff and check in at midnight. They waited up for me! All around great service.

Perfect option for a solo traveler. Location, right off the Gran Via, is unbeatable. Excellent value and friendly staff. I especially appreciated the common kitchen area. Very smart choice.
