Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe room had a kind of musty smell on entering . The room is small . There is no manager in the hostal after 6 pm -however they give you a phone number to ring if you need assistance , which is good . The bed is a bit lopsided so you have to pick the right side sleep. It’s loud outside so ear plugs are required (and provided )?and there is a strong green light in room near the door -I had s as n eye mask so it was ok . The front door can be difficult to open at night -need to try a number of times -2 codes are given -the 2nd one seemed to work after a few tries . Other than those minor things , all good !
Great location . The shower and hot water is excellent . Manuel is a great host and explains everything at the start .

SwitzerlandThe access with luggage to the property. Accessing with big suitcases is really difficult. No access to the property from nearby parking. Parking is a nightmare, there is no way to access the property from the nearby parkings. Having a small suitcase is not bad, but I had a lot of luggage and was specially difficult.
The property is in the core of the party places, but is well isolated and the property remains tranquil despite of the nearby bars and party places. Facilities were brand new and very clean. Is a nice place and will stay there again.

FranceAlthough the hotel wasn’t busy other people didn’t wash up their used cups and plates which means we had to wash them before we could use them. Perhaps it should be mentioned when people check in that they need to clean up after themselves.
The property was very central. Our room had a lovely balcony which adjoined our family in another room. Although there wasn’t any breakfast served at the hotel a kitchen was provided with a limited amount of cups plates, glasses, fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Also tea and coffee pods were provided. The owner of the hotel was very helpful and informative.

AustraliaRooms can be a bit noisy when all the bars and restaurants nearby are busy, but this is the price you pay for the location. Rooms a little tired.
We stayed at Le Petit Ĺéon in 2017 and decided to stay there again this trip. Fantastic location in the old city, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and close to attractions. The owner is very kind. Self serve Cafe fantastic idea. Would definitely v stay there again

United States of AmericaThe location is near the Camino and perfect for exploring the city. We contacted the property through Booking and were able to check in early. The hotel is not always staffed but we found no problem with this. We had a room with a balcony and loved it! Tea and coffee are provided in a small “kitchen” area with fridge and microwave.
