We booked Hostel Marlasca based on the photos we saw on Booking. However, when we came, they gave us old smelly and dirty room on the 4th floor. We made a complaint, but they told us that they do not have newly renovated rooms free, and that they will organise new room for next day. They did, however, we did not pay for that old room, and it sure was not on their page....(we have not got refund for that night).

Newly decorated rooms are spacious and fresh. Location is more than perfect! If you need hairdryer, you need to ask at the reception.

The bathroom had issues with the ventilation, so there was a strange smell in the mornings. It was bit uncomfortable to ask the hair dryer at the reception every time we needed to use it.

Location is perfect, city center is just about a few minutes walk. The hotel was easy to access, staff was friendly. The room was clean, but a bit small.

Too noisy at night to early morning. Room was small for a couple with two big pieces of luggage. Checked out a day early. Wasted one day included in booking. Shower head could not be placed in shower attachment. The place was near noisy tapas bar. Management would not transfer us to a bigger room. So we transferred hotel even if we had one more day of stay at this Hostral!

you have to pay 2 euro for a locker to store stuff. Must say the locker was huge that we could store 2 trolley bag but still dislike that I need to pay for it.

Madrid tourist area is really compact so this hotel kinda located in the middle of them all. You get lots of restaurant around and walking distance to most tourist attraction. I have no issue with any noise despite the Tapas bar was all around the hotel.

Location was excellent. The room was surprisingly spacious for 4 people and was very clean. We loved that the shower had its own room separate from the toilet and sink. It made getting 4 people out in the morning much faster. I would highly recommend this property for some one looking for a clean, family oriented, budget minded accommodation.

The room had a couple of quirks, one of the ac units dripped (we just used the other one, so no big deal), and the bathroom had frosted glass doors with no lock. we actually made a sign so we wouldn't walk in on each other.

This place was perfect for exploring Madrid! The location was the reason we chose it, but the Hostal was better than we could have expected. It was extremely family-friendly. Most of the people we saw in the halls also had kids. we stayed in a room that had a small balcony, but there were modern insulated windows that really blocked out the noise, which was awesome because this place is located right where the action is! We could enjoy the balcony with all the singing and revelry below, or close the windows and have peace and quiet. The room was clean, the staff was helpful, and we were able to rest between attractions.

Great location, near many restaurants and right in the centre of the city. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was very comfortable, I was able to fall asleep instantly. There are lockers to put your things away when you come before it’s time to check-in, which was a plus since I arrived super early in the morning. The air con worked perfectly and it kept the room in a good temperature compared to the very hot weather of June in Spain. Even though the staff can only speak Spanish we were able to communicate clearly, even with my broken Spanish.

Parking could get expensive around there, so better if you don't take a car while there. That's what we did.

Best location, small room but clean and with a nice bathroom. Perfect value for money. It was so easy to get to so many attractions in Madrid.
