Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe booked a normal Junior suite, however on arrival we noticed the description on booking.com site was not correct , no dining area , no terrace , more a small balcony, this room was tired, and needed a refresh, so we moved to a Level Junior suite on 2nd day a small price difference, this had extra benefits, and the room was much more spacious and fitted the discription of suite described, so be careful when reading what facilities you expect on this site, there is also a no smoking policy around all outdoor areas, so smokers have to go outside to the beach area.
We loved all the different areas to relax, the cleanliness, the staff always happy to help, breakfast choice was amazing, and Marta and her team, made our stay , with cocktails waiting in our room one evening ,took time to chat to us and check back if there was anything we needed. The position of the hotel is perfect, step outside and a short walk to everything, the hotel offers all you need to relax , lovely pools and some chilled activities, like salsa class, cocktail demo, aqua aerobics, in the afternoon and lunch at Cape Neo, should you want.

UkraineThe room wasn't cleaned every day - and it was still fine. The staff at reception were totally unfriendly and with absense of any understanding. Generally the Level has separate reception. But I've tried to resolve my questions with standard reception. They do difference if you book direct from them and if you do booking from Booking.com - they do a bit discrimination. I couldn't prolong my room. all the time there were new excuses. They don't care if you are with the kid or not. Finally I've booked new night in the other room just to stay somewhere till 18:00. So I've paid 1 extra night ~190 euro (of corse direct via them). And the reception asked me to checkout from my room and to wait till 15:00, though when I was booking the room they've said I can simply change the room. Luckily Alejandro from Level reception helped to resolve the situation and found a small room for us. So this is just as example of the mess happening in this hotel on reception. All the rest is fine. But definately no sympacy to the guests on any requests.
I've stayed in Melia in the end of September. The hotel was good. It has a lot of activities and facilities. I was staying in Level room which is definately worth paying for. 4 swimming pools are good. All the staff except reception was quite friendly. The location is great and the entertainment is good. It's a calm hotel for family stays. The breakfasts are tasty.

Germanyfoods and drinks in the hotel are unfairly expensive. if you want to have a relaxing day at the swimming pool with some drinks be prepared to pay 3-4 times the normal price.
The location and super friendly staffs. Note: if you a looking for party Magaluf is the place but don’t go there is you are looking for relaxing family time. There are lots of drunk/wasted people and noise (the noise cancellation in the room is good though).

United KingdomFood at the restaurant by the pool isn’t as good as it was pre pandemic. Service is really slow and options aren’t great but there are plenty of restaurants to eat at nearby and short drive to Palma
Our third time staying at this hotel. Amazing rooms. Our preferred choice are The Level Suite with solarium which are ground floor rooms that open up to walk to the pool.

United KingdomThe swimming pool is booked by tourists from 7 am, but it officially opens at 10 am. If you come when it opens, you will have no sunbed! But the staf can take your towel away if you left your sunbed for 5 min (toilet)! Very confusing situation.

United KingdomThere was insufficient beds during the busy period and some beds had towels placed o the at breakfast time and hardly used. A sign should be up stating towels will be removed if not used within 1hour (allowing lunch break etc). The feel has changed since the towels were changed to green. It appears a little washed out and needs a bright blue, orange, yellow or other.
I stay here often as a solo traveller. Staff are always great, very receptive and helpful. It normally has a great Mediterranean feel, and is complimented by Nicki Beach next door.
