It was only a minor annoyance but the floorboards in our room were excessively creaky. Bit more hanging space for clothes would have been handy but these were minor points against the many positives.

The location was excellent and the food and service at both breakfast and dinner was absolutely superb. Highly recommended, we would definitely go again.

Perfect place to camp at the feet of Gredos mountain range.

dinner was not that good and some investment into the bathrooms could be appreciated.

Confortable and very nice staff, though a little old. That's all, probably the best or second best hotel in the area, and in the best town to explore Gredos.

    Disappointed and would not recommend

We stayed in a suite and found furnishings were rather dated (a Morrocan/Arabic theme...) we would have preferred a more modern style. Generally expensive for what it is, we have stayed if far better hotels than this. The food was abysmal, the restaurant clinical and we did not stop for breakfast.

The room was spacious and had a nice view of the garden and a balcony and it was peaceful. There was a cosy fire in the lounge which was nice.

Perfect accommodation for hiking and relaxing holiday!

All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel feels like a second home, has great restaurant featuring local specialties, and an observatory on the roof (operated by an astronomer who comes by on clear evenings). Great place to be based during a hiking trip to Laguna Grande or just a nice relaxing holiday in the mountains. Wifi was stable but not super fast and the mobile data reception is very good.

The beds are not very comportable. It's been noisy because of the wood floor.

We went there to take photos of the night sky. The staffs there were very nice. Also Good restaurante with a variety of wine. There was a tour of watching the stars using a telescope, which was fantastic. Really good place for those astronomy enthusiasts.

An incredibly peaceful setting with panoramic views. We wanted a hotel with access to the walking in the area and this was ideal. It was a short drive to La Plataforma from which you can walk up one of the mountains and experience more amazing views and friendly ibex (one of whom we named Brian). The small garden and terrace overlooking the mountains where you can have drinks or dinner was a wonderful place to unwind in. The room we had was beautifully decorated, incredibly clean and had a fantastic view over the mountain range. The hotel is quite isolated (part of its appeal for us) so there isn't much nearby - but you probably won't want to leave the hotel anyway!

There was nothing I did not like

I enjoyed the view, which is beyond words. The room, facing Gredos was clean and quiet. The garden where to enjoy an evening beer, beautifully cared for. Dinner in the hotel dining- room, though not cheap, was excellent, and the location, close to the river Tormes where we went fishing was absolutely convenient. A hotel highly recommended

Quiet and comfortable hotel in a beautiful and quiet mountain area. Very friendly staff.

Staff would benefit from getting more comfortable in English; some staff speak no English, others do, but none of the people is fluent or capable of a relaxed conversation. It's not a problem, but it does make your stay a bit more relaxing, knowing the staff will understand you when you have a request.

Clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, cosy garden, wonderful area for hiking. Although standard breakfast is a "gourmet" thing, the staff was happy to arrange a lean (and quick) version for me when I asked.
