There was no air con in our room. Not a problem for us as we visited early May, but it might get a bit hot in July or August.

Very close to the border with Gibraltar ( 10 minutes on foot) and extremely good value for money. No frills, but clean rooms, comfy beds and plenty of hot water with bath AND shower. Also had free wifi. On the street behind, you will find a good variety of places to eat.

Careful of the stairs between the lift and the rooms, on each floor there is a small flight. So if you have any form of disability, the stairs are unavoidable.

The lovely people there where doing their best due to the fact that there's work in progress to update the hotel. The first floor is finished and looks lovely and if the 2nd and 3rd floors look as nice when they are finished, it will be a very nice place to stay, esp if you are going over to Gibraltar.

The trees in the park across the street from my window could have been a little less beautiful - then, maybe, I would have been in my office on time a little more regularly. So have disliked nothing. No. Not a thing.

Now then; this place, for my purposes, is perfect. I have just had my work contract extended and I had no qualms about booking an extra month here. I like La Linea, I like the hostel even when (as now) it is undergoing renovations.

Everything in the room was in need of a facelift..table with chipped corners, broken bathroom window with empty strip of glass, stained and torn bed cover, cup stain on bathroom sink, the need to run the hot water for 30mins before it was hot enough, no remote for the TV...I have to balance all of this with the fact that this is a 1 star hotel and it was very cheap so you could never complain about the price.

Could not fault the location...very close to all the bars and café culture....I recommend Cafe Modelo for the food and great place to watch football outside with heaters if it’s cold! Also very close to the border with Gibraltar!

The toilet was leaking and there was no duvet, just a sheet on the bed. Luckily, they left a little heater in the room. Otherwise, it would have been too cold at night.

A good location in the centre of the town and a low price of the room.

Hotel Miramar is old, musty and in need of a massive refurbishment. Our room was large enough for three people sharing, bit smelled damp, the musty smell attached to our clothes. All the furniture was tired. The shower room was the worst, broken tiles, no extraction for the steam from the shower, paint on the tiles where they have repainted and not bothered to clean the splashes. The toilet seat is yellowed and should be reolace, the door on the inside was filthy, obvioulsy never checked by the cleaner, who is either lazy or poor sighted. In the bedroom it was quite obvious from debris left by previous guests that the rooms are never cleaned propery. We were three sharing a room - only towels for 2 people. Again impossible to get any sort of refreshments in the hotel - Tea and Coffe facilites would be nice after a long journey. T

. Our beds were comfortable and clean. The view from the room overlooked a lovely park. There is parking for 2,70€ a day close by and can be accessed via the little park on foot. When you come out of the Hotel there are bars and restaurants and shopping within walking distance. If you are visiting Gibraltar, La Linea is a good place to stay. At the hotel there was a hard working receptionist who was incredibley friendly, sadly we did not see her on our last day. She was the one who told us how to find cheaper parking.

When we got there they'd booked us into a double room which was sorted out after a short while...We got to the room & the furniture was terrible, never mind we thought & went out to eat & drink..When we both got into our single beds they were damp, the pillows were lumpy & horrible...The bath which the shower went in to was peeling, it was filled with odd bits of silicone so didn't look so good..Toilet was cleanish but the previous people had dropped a coin in to the bowel which was still there...

Tea and coffee facility in the room. Early starters either have to wait until 8:30am for the local cafe to open or bring their own facilities to make a drink in the morning. The room table was very insecure and wobbled worse than a drunken sailor. I did not trust it with my laptop, and even put the hotel TV on the floor for safety and to avoid a potential bill as the table was in constant danger of total collapse.

Clean room and bedding, small bathroom en-suite which required very long legs or an assault course approach to the shower over the bath. Location was OK for either La Linea or the short walk to Gibraltar. No facilities apart from the room, but plenty or restaurants and secure parking nearby.

Dirty grout on tiling. 2. TV small no RC in room and very limited channels (all Spanish) 3. Less than fresh smell in the room (due to damp from bath / shower over flowing each usage) 4. No hangers in wardrobe 5. Curtains not wide enough to cover windows 6. Insects had to be swatted each day (twice) evident effect on decoration 7. Hot water delivery variable, when on early start to the day non available least not detectable Serious issues 1. Fire evacuation direction signage none existent with no alternative means of escape 2. The room was tired & in desperate need of refurbishment although this is evidently in progress elsewhere in the hotel. However, the price & location more than compensated.

The hotel could definitely use a little upgrading. I am not fussy and was totally happy with everything but I know people who would have not wanted to stay. There was plaster missing from the walls in the room and the toiletries consisted of a part used bar of soap complete with hair from previous visitors. Hey I just wanted to go to Gibraltar to visit the monkeys so was ok for me but other people would probably be disappointed. Finding something to eat in La Linea is not as easy as you might think. Bars everywhere but not many restaurants.

If you want a budget hotel to see Gibraltar this is absolutely the place to stay. It is definitely in need of some TLC but it is very convenient for the border and the beds were comfortable and clean towels and linen. Staff were lovely and helpful. After looking for a long time we found an pizza restaurant the first night which was like eating in the oven although the food was nice and the second night we ate in the restaurant belonging to a hostel in the street behind. Most places had no menus and just did tapas. This however is probably more my problem than theirs

The lock on the door could have been stronger and inspired a bit more faith. The external roller blind that was jammed should be fixed and the leaking shower head still gave a smashing shower but was erratic in direction so as to pour water onto the unsealed bath rim, contributing, no doubt to a faint smell of damp.

it could be perfect if the hotel would had a dinning area, I believe there were doing some building work, because it was close. The wifi did not get to the room, that it was a bit upsetting

The staff were so helpful, the location is good, close to a small beach and restaurants. The room was well maintained, bed sheets clean and enough bathroom towels

The room smelled very bad. Something in the bathroom got moldy. The didn't have a air conditioner, only a noisy ventilator and it was very loud at night. For this price it's not worth sleeping there.

Very basic room, a little cramped & shower curtain kept collapsing! No air-con.

By good tapas bars and convenient enough for airport. Also friendly - reception always open.
