You cant check in till 4pm. Finding this place was tricky. We couldn't park there till 8pm because builders vehicles were blocking access. Parking is also very tight. Breakfast is extra at 12 euros

The room was a really good size and the bed very comfortable, but it was on the top floor with no proper window view.

Loved everything. Did note that some areas of the old town need renovating.

Stunning, luxurious family hotel in the Roman walled old town. The hotel has all the expected modern amenities but with the added bonus that all common areas are decorated with classic artwork and well chosen collectables. The staff are super friendly and helpful and well versed in English (great for us). Breakfast was perfect. The Roman wall completely encircles the old town. There is a 2.2Km walk (or jog) along the top. Within the walls are restaurants, shops, markets, plazas and a wonderful cathedral. Loved it.

While the bathroom contained high design features, it was not entirely ergonomic. It was a battle not to get the floor wet while taking a shower, which is a pity as it was made of polished wooden planks.

A beautiful balance between the historic and state of the art stylishness. Our upgraded room was wonderful- it was extremely roomy and comfortable but the icing on the cake was the bathroom; it could have come out of a design magazine. The female staff was lively and very friendly, not to mention helpful. In addition, the location just inside the Roman walls could not have been better. All in all, a lovely hotel.

Though we didn't have a car we were told that parking was limited.

The Pazo was just off the busy areas of Lugo but within an easy walk to everything in the city and next to the city walls which you are able to walk on. Our room was very spacious with the largest bed ever and the bathroom had the largest bath ever. The hotel bar is full of interesting and ancient objects and well worth a visit. The staff were delightful and we were told that the tapas bars on the street above the hotel, during the period we were there, were having a competition and tapas was given virtually free with the drinks.

The hotel is a very short walk to good bars and restaurants but the actual location of the hotel is in the most neglected looking part of the walled town.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. It's very nicely decorated, with quirky, boutique features. The bathroom and shower were brilliant. We had originally booked the cheapest room and were advised that because each room shape was unique, our particular room had a regular double bed, therefore small by hotel standards. We were happy to take that room but the hotel kindly upgraded us to a room with super king as they had the availability. The breakfast was a nice selection and beautifully presented. The parking was a bonus. It's tricky to find other parking within the muralla.

The breakfast was very poor value for money. The breakfast area is cramped, with small tables and stools. The range of food was very limited, and at 9.15 only one croissant left; no others could be sourced and a poor response from staff. The quirky ephemera was a little unsavoury, and not interesting, more tatty. However, the superior rooms were large and very comfortable. The car park was secure; not immediately obvious how to access it, resulting in our initially parking in one of the town's underground car parks, the other side of the (albeit small) town.

Beautiful building. The views of the walls were spectacular. Very comfortable accommodation. Interesting town, with views of the hills around. Easy, short walk to good restaurants.

The directions were confusing - we parked and walked then got very good directions from the person on duty

We were charged for motorbike parking. Worth the security but I do grudge paying given the relatively small space that a bike takes.

The building, contents and location were fantastic. We had an attic room with lots of space and a lovely bathroom. The staff were very friendly and did all they could do to help. Really enjoyed Lugo, especially walking round the roman walls and the tapas bars. Great breakfast, no make that GREAT breakfast.

Lugo fell short of our expectations & the hotel surroundings did not match the quality of the hotel.

The hotel decor was a bit quirky but we couldn't fault the room for comfort. I had a problem with the safe & the staff were extremely helpful & understanding.

Had difficulty finding how to reach the hotel.

Once we found it the location was perfect inside the old walled city. The hotel is like a museum, rooms done to a very high standard. Breakfast had wide variety of cheeses and cakes. Staff wonderful. Private parking on site.

The only caveat is that the inhabitants of Lugo seem to like to party all night at weekends and we were serenaded until about 5:00 in the morning. Take earplugs!

This hotel is inside the city walls, and therefore complicated to get to, but we made it without any detours because of the excellent instructions the manager sent to us as soon as we made the booking. The room was eccentrically decorated (as was the whole establishment) but comfortable. The breakfast did not include any hot food, but offered the best selection of cheese and cakes we saw anywhere in our travels—quite outstanding!
