How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Arrived in the pouring rain after a long day's walk on the Camino. The luxury of the room (bathrobes, coffee, fancy toiletries etc) was a real treat. Very comfortable an beautifully decorated room. Reception area very stylish too

Plan to spend 30 euro pet fee, 30 Euro parking and 20 euros excellent breakfast, in our opinion it’s all worth it.
Perfect place to stop en route from Belgium To southern Spain, with our little dog. Super cozy beds. Quiet rooms. Dog fee includes dog bed dog bowls and treats. Situated a short walk away from the downtown tapas bars area in the old town. Easy parking once you’ve been once.

I really can't think of anything.
The hotel is very convenient for the city centre. We had a spacious, airy, bright room which was well furnished and impeccably clean. The breakfast buffet offered a huge choice of excellent fresh food and dinner in the restaurant was delicious. It's the grandest hotel we've ever stayed in with a palatial main staircase and its own cloister!

Nothing, only slight worry was driving into and out of the underground parking!
Absolutely top class establishment, with delightful staff and service. Beautiful building right in the centre of the historic enchanting town of Burgos. Also full marks for allowing our dog and his excellent welcome pack.

Offered online systems like Online-Check-In with room selection and Express Check-Out did not work properly, which resulted rather in frustration than pleasure. We selected a room directed to the inner part of the building. However, we ended up with a room "with view" but directly at the street because the room was overbooked. The window towards the street is not really good and as a result it was unfortunately very noisy. Express Check-Out simply did not work, although everything was paid in advance.
Great impressive building and beautiful rooms. Interior of high quality. Very close to old town of Burgos

Stunning property, perfect location just outside of cathedral square. Spotlessly clean and great rooms. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend

We had a premium room which was really spacious, double doors, bathroom, comfortable beds, quiet. Easy access to the centre just over the bridge. Stunning breakfast buffet. Parking on site with direct access. We loved it.

Front of house staff some of them could’ve been a little more friendly but that might of been the language theme. Our bedroom was looking a little tired, some broken tiles in the bathroom and scuffs on the woodwork in the bedroom.
Very convenient location, great breakfasts, comfortable bed.

It needed more lighting in the room, perhaps a floor lamp near the easy chair.

The room was excellent, though requested a double when booking we forgot to specify a it at check-in and had a twin won't make that mistake again. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced for a hotel of this quality. Breakfast is adjacent to the old cloisters and is a great selection, hot selections are cooked to order. Overall there is a caring ambiance and a lovely historic setting.

The scent in the lobby was overpowering . The room could have more lighting. Or brighter light. Especially in the bedroom area
Loved the large room. And the location. The breakfast was also quite good w many different options. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend the hotel and would stay again.

Old bathroom facilities. High prices for the lobby bar and room service. The parking was also expensive. Quite impersonal.
Comfortable room and bed. Nice views. Easy to reach by car. Has parking available (at an extra and high price and with tight parking spaces).
