Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Location is terrible there are better areas. If you need to walk around Barcelona. But if you need to sleep before a train travel via Sants Station, then it is fine.
Welcome refreshment station is nice.

Convenient location to the train station, the usual reliable cleanliness and neatness of NH, reasonably modern. Not terribly big, but not oppressively small. A somewhat lame exercise room but better than nothing.

Not as close to Sants station as I had hoped - about 10 minutes’ walk.

Non-functioning heating in the room, only air conditioning works.
Great location, close to metro station. Nice hotel lobby, fast elevator, quiet and clean room, large terrace (junior suite), comfortable double bed. Tasty breakfast, wide selection, the Jura coffee machines, fresh juices, fruit.

This is a 4 star hotel, the size of the room was not very big, specially the bathrooms. Even if the rooms are clean there were small damages in the walls and the bathroom tiles. The isolation of the door and the walls was not very good and you could hear all the noise from the corridor and the other rooms.
The location is very convenient to visit Barcelona. There are subway, tram and bus connections in 5min around the hotel. Also enough restaurants in the neighbourhood with a variety of international kitchens. Great breakfast with a broad variety of fresh food.

The rooms weren't very soundproof and we could hear people in the room next to us quite well when trying to sleep or people moving furniture above us. Although you can order drinks in the lobby by pressing a button, there is no actual bar which was something we missed. A kettle in the room would've been a nice additional touch but maybe that's a UK thing.
Hotel was modern, rooms spacious and staff friendly. It is only 5 min from the metro so it was easy to get to central Barcelona. The fridge in the room was handy to store our own bits of food and drinks in as we opted out of the breakfast.

I had dinner in the restaurant and the food was mediocre. Watery pasta, unripe tomatoes in salad.
Room was comfortable, location good for station. Good reception services. Good breakfast.

only the bathroom smell

We wish the breakfast buffet was more affordable, but were happy to get breakfast at the nearby cafes.
Excellent location, 10 minutes by walk to Sants Barcelona Train Station and Metro stop. It had a small neighborhood feel with cafes, restaurants and local grocers. It was far enough away from the loud tourist sections but close enough to enjoy without a long commute. The room was nice and quiet, and we were happy with all the outlets to connect our devices. Staff was helpful, friendly and efficient.

Being a vegan, I was initially disappointed with the breakfast. No bananas, tomatoes, the juices were from concentrate. However. on relaying by disappointment to the front desk the breakfast was improved . Thank you to all the staff . The room was fine but had no facilities for making tea first thing. The location was fine being a 5 minutes walk to Santa station.

AVOID the rooms at first floor with street-view - there is noise from the street and the façade lights will be on 24 hours. There are blinds (covers) in the room but still, the light from façade is disturbing. In the room, the shower door was missing a piece of rubber (gasket) at the bottom, that made a lot of water to splash in the bathroom. There was no brush to clean the toilet.
Overall the hotel is nice, lots of bar and pastry shops nearby, two subway stations at 5-6 minute walk, 30 minute walk to Las Ramblas or Paseig de Gracia. The room was cleaned and the minibar was refiled everyday.
