IrelandThere appears to be a rule about having the dog with us on the outside terrace which we could not understand.
The hotel has a old style charm to it which we found very pleasing. There are plenty of car spaces and an EV charger if you need one. There are two swimming pools but a few sun loungers would be a bonus. The cost for our dog for the night was a very reasonable €7. The acid test for any hotel is 'would we stay here again' and in the case of La Perdiz the answer is 'yes we would'

SpainThe restaurant at the hotel did not have a lot of choice for dinner. And the staff at the restaurant seemed not very professional for a 4 star hotel. The village of La Carolina, not much to do or see. And the villagers gave me the feeling that they are not keen on tourists/foreigners.
The reception staff was very nice, and the swimming pools were nice and clean.

Very clean rooms, I had a private garage with direct access to our room. Own small terrace and enclosed grass garden shared with other room. We travel with two dogs no issues. Air conditioning worked well which is unusual in many hotels. Fantastic if you need to stay overnight on your journey.

United KingdomShower area large but tray recessed into floor and is a trip hazard. Surroundings are slippery. A duck board has been placed over the tray but - again - a little hazardous. Needs a little improvement.
Location - brilliant. So close to the main road and easy to find, but not noisy. Rooms - beds and room generally good and beds comfy. Shower room - spacious, with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Bar and breakfast - great value with loads of choice. The best eggs and chorizo, I have had in a long time.

SpainThe facilities and rooms were not renovated since the opening in the sixties. Everything works well but feels overused. No elevator so you need to take your luggage one floor up the stairs. Not convinient but ok. For people with difficulties that could be a challenge..
Location near the highway A4 but very quiet. The staff are nice and friendly. the restaurant is good. Clean warm and convenient.

PortugalAfter long drive we wanted to dine in the restaurant, but it opens only at 20:45 - far too late for us. Wanted to have a bite in the bar, but since restaurant is not opened we could have only toasted sandwich. That's not enough and few more dishes like salads for example should be available as a quick bite. Also, only one person serves guests in the bar in the evening and in the morning - that's not enough and certainly another person should be employed.
This is our third stay in this hotel. Excellent location. Perfect staff. Garage as a part of the room - excellent! Room and bed comfortable.

Great location just off the motorway, but very quiet and peaceful. Lovely pool that was not open as it was September. We had a room facing a pretty central garden. The parking was amazing - our private, single garage was at the back of our little unit with a private door into our room. Excellent. The breakfast room was very good, but the breakfast itself was most disappointing. Very little variety, cold fried eggs, not good coffee, in fact not much of anything, which was a shame as it spoiled what was otherwise a good experience.

United StatesThe Beds rolled away from the wall when I tried to sit and lean back not comfy Could put brakes on the wheels. The Bar could have had bar food when the kitchen was closed , finger foods or olive and bread but they didn't .
The bed was comfy for sleeping The breakfast was good, Hmm we had a tour bus with over 75 people at breakfast as soon as it opened The staff was excellent as they kept the food coming The Bar had great beer , The best thing was the security of having our car in a garage attached to our room AWESOME ANY One that was the security for their car and stuff inside this is the only hotel I know that does that
