Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I’ve stayed here a few times and it is definitely the best value in Madrid. Perfect conditions, very nice people in the lobby that help you with everything and very spacious rooms. The location is also perfect, near everything but not too crowded, walking distance from Serrano and many other things.

I booked the suite this time, but the conditions were terrible. The desk is in very bad shape, shower half broken and Aircon loud and not cooling the room enough
I have used multiple times NH Principe de Vergara when I go on business to Madrid, good breakfast and normally very comfy beds, and personal is 5*. Little expensive but very good hotel.

Pillows too soft and small for me, Aircon even in max could not reduce the temperature of the room that it was hot.
Clean and staff is always nice. Good bathroom. No noise

There is insufficient signage to guide visitors to the reception from the parking area. Clearer signage directing to the reception would be helpful.
The location was ideal for my vacation. The room was clean, and staffs are very welcoming.

The stairs up to the building are difficult with heavy luggage.

Room service staff didn't speak English, hotel is not suitable for international guests who doesn't speak Spanish, for the price the room was below other hotel rooms with the same pricing, no staff helped with luggage in the check-in and check-out. Room service menu is very limited and doesn't have good variety. Didn't find the stay there welcoming or accommodating and I would not recommend for anyone

I have no complaints.
I usually try and stay in an area more central - and frankly higher end, but I will stay here again when in Madrid. Location was in a lovely area, even though at first it seemed out of the way. But then I discovered it was very easy to get everywhere else I needed to go by bus. I didn't miss any amenities. No need to spend more. Plus, the staff was very accommodating.

Maybe there will be drinks offered in the room (except minibar)

Air conditioning not working Went down to ask the concierge for help And no one was sent to help us figure out what qas going on. No one offered to move us to another room consequently we had a pretty rough night

- The amenities were either absent or faulty. We had to ask and wait for hours for robes and slippers. - Safety locker was faulty. - Toilet flush wasn’t working. - No tea/coffee making facility in the room. - They put used and thrown on the floor bathrobes back on the rack for use. Overall quality of room service was appalling. - Breakfast menu was absolutely limited. - Lifts were faulty. - For a hotel, the reception staffs barely speak in English and it was a nightmare communicating with them. - The room was lacklustre and has no character.

. The entrance of the hotel has a large staircase. We were not offered any assistance to pick up the bags. The hotel is quite modern, rooms depending on layout can be small
