SlovakiaOur room was on the first floor, and we could regularly feel some bad smell from the canals on the floor (but not in the room). Also I had my worse sangria in my life from the the hotel bar. But these are really nuances... We had really good time and will be happy to return here.
it is a huge resort, perfect for families or people who wants to active spend their time. The breakfast was really rich. The hotel is cca 15 minutes by car from the airport, really easy to get there. There is a close small town to 5 min on foot. We went by bus to Arrecife, too, the bus stop is directly in front of the hotel. The people were really nice, and there is a regular evening activity for guests who do not wants to leave the resort.

United KingdomThe themed restaurants charging you full price twice when you already paid half board option. We have stayed at many 4/5* hotels and have never come across this before. We expected to either have the restaurants included on a booking system or pay a supplement of around 15-20 euros PP which is the standard. No bottled water in the room. We asked for this in day 2 and were told by customer services that it would be sorted but it still never happened. 20 euros reservation of towels even though refundable per person we felt was to much when you are a hotel guest to pay upfront.
Hotel Very clean. Food of high standard especially English bacon at breakfast. Rooms cleaner each day to good standard. Plenty of sunbeds up to around 10:30 not having to queue for beds was a refreshing change and they were comfortable. Evening entertainment for adults was lacking and no evening activities advertised that we saw of. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. We had a problem with the first room but it was changed no problem at all. No wine glasses in the room if you just fancied chilling in the room. Would definately return but would like to see changes to themed restaurants included with or without small supplement.

SlovakiaWe spent one week in january at Barceló and it was great choice. We travel a lot around the island so we appreciate the location of the hotel. It was very good start position to make the trips around the Lanzarote. We liked the breakfast and food in Olivina buffet very much - the food was delicious with lots of options to have really good, healthy and tasty start for the day. We stayed in junior suite and the space of rooms was generous. We loved olympic pool and generally the sporty atmosphere in Barceló is very motivational.

IrelandAs you don't know the place you get a little lost. We were with children and suitcases and had to walk a long distance to the other complex without help. The reception should guide us and help us with this more clearly.
The hotel is wonderful in general. The welcome upon arriving at the room was incredible with chocolates, sparkling wine, welcome card... The staff, especially the kitchen and entertainment staff, were outstanding. About the food, Lots of variety of food at every meal and something different every day. Wonderful food and service too. Cleaned daily, the girls are always very sweet. We went at Christmas and there was a beautiful dinner for the guests and there was always lots of fun for the children and adults.
