Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast was a bit lacking, the options were very limited especially for someone who eats Halal food only. I think it needed variety and more options.
The room was nice, practical, comfortable and clean, AC was working perfectly. The staff was so kind and welcoming. I asked for an electric kettle in the room, the blond lady at the reception was kind enough to offer one immediately with a mug. Giving it a gold star for the location, it was near everything you could ever need ( shopping, supermarkets, restaurants, bus station, metro station, pharmacy, ciutat vella and all the places one would want to visit).

At times there was no one in reception - could do with a bell or intercom maybe ? Only one lift working and not made aware until arrival . Not good if staying on higher floors

Bed was way too soft. No support for the spine. From 1-10 It was uncomfortable about 20.

The hotel needs a gym and the elevator broke down on my last day so that should be looked at. There was also a slight smell in the room. There was 2 separate smells, one coming from the toilet and one that existed in the room in general that smelled a bit like sweat.
Breakfast was okay. I was a bit confused about the placement of things at first (salt & pepper) but I eventually figured it out. That is also something they should consider including. Location was VERY convenient, right on the Main Street, I was able to get to all of the streets that I wanted seamlessly.

Bits of paintwork needed touching up especially in the bathroom behind the door. Couldn't get the overhead shower to work so had to use the handheld attachment

The location is great, it is close to the Colon Metro station and very easy to/from the airport. Easy walk to the old town and most major sites.

There was no hot water for showering on our last day and the front desk personnel seemed uninterested in our complaint or doing anything to make it better (a hot coffee to warm up might have been a nice gesture!).

It was noisy. The window wasn't locking itself and the noise from outside was coming in. One of the nights there seemed to be some sort of alarm ringing in the halway.

There is no air conditioning in the room. I was told that it had been "centralised" but I found the room too warm even in February. Lighting in the room was a bit limited.
Situated on the edge of the old town, this is a good hotel for sightseeing. The staff are friendly and helped me out with an onward travel problem with some useful advice. The breakfast is good with a cold buffet and a choice of cooked eggs. Our bathroom had a great bathroom with walk-in shower and rain shower head.

The lift was broken during our stay, there was a second one that was in use but it was still up a few flights of stairs and quite small. There was some kind of work happening to the building on our second morning as well, non stop banging from 8.30am onwards.
Central location right next to the metro, most tourist attractions and restaurants and bars within walking distance. Spacious and comfortable enough room for a few days away on a city break.

Our room was near the elevator and very noisy because of that. There was a poor homeless person outside of the front door every day and every night.
Room was clean and quite modern, the area is okay (across the street there is a very big and elegant el Corte Inglés shopping center). You can order warm dishes for breakfast. Staff was nice.
