This was our most expensive hotels on this trip but the rooms are from the 70's and it was the shabbiest. Breakfast was a joke, croissants in sealed plastic bags who knows how old. This could be a wonderful hotel if it was updated to reflect what they charge.

Great old building. The owner was most helpful. Views over the plaza with a bit of harbor. Easy walk to bars and restaurants.

Lekeitio should be on veyone's list for a short visit. A small old town section, adjacent small boat port and many walking opportunities will really give you a floor of the Basque region. The hotel retains some of the old world feel, convenient to everything. The young lady at check was full of enjoyable enthusiasm as she explain in part English, part Spanish with descriptive gestures, everything I needed to know. She was a joy to meet.

There was a restriction on checking in time in the middle if the day.

Great location in the old town with a fantastic view and very close to quayside, beach and restaurants.

It can be noisy at night. It didn't bother us too much but if you want peace and quiet best to book somewhere else. We did stay during a local festival though so maybe that created more noise. No air conditioning.

    Very central location. Staff friendly

This was a fascinating place - very old building with great character. A certain austerity when it came to comfort or luxury, but certainly adequate and reflected the ambiance of the setting. The staff did not speak English so communication was somewhat strained. Ok breakfast, nothing special. I guess what made it so intriguing was the location on the bustling main square and the building itself from the 1600s.

Lighting in room awful & frustrating, but a common problem in all hotels now for low energy using light bulbs. If return

Breakfast very nice & convenient. Bed comfortable. Excellent location.

Lovely historic hotel in a great position. The room was great, 2 balconies, lovely to have the fresh air coming into the room. Staff lovely and helpful, parked the Harley right outside the hotel. There is a great bar just across the way for coffee and enormous G&T's! Tapas restaurants were great. Beautiful old town to visit with beach and harbour. Please feed the stray cats down the far end of the the road the hotel is on if you can :D

Lekeitio was very lively on Saturday night, it was great to be in the middle of it but there was a lot of noise for my 9 month old trying to sleep

Super location in a lovely little town, full of culture with a nice beach, gorgeous building - a special place to stay. The staff were great and very helpful esp. when it came to the baby

The member of staff did not have a lot to say - maybe it was because we were English as I dont think they cater for a lot of British??

Authentic historical building - like going back in time. Excellent location.

    Wi-Fi

This hotel is a classic northern Spain hotel. If you go to the city Lekeitio you must stay in this hotel. This hotel tells the story of the history of the city. The rooms are large as well as the beds. The location is perfect as it is only a few hundred meters from the beach. It is right in the marina area. Isabella, the owner-manager of the hotel, is very capable of taking care of her visitors. There is nothing she wouldn't do to make your stay more comfortable. My only concern about this hotel is the Wi-Fi experience. It works well in the lobby but once you get to the rooms it doesn't work so well. Overall my experience at this hotel was nine out of 10. The Wi-Fi was the only issue

No air conditioning and no electric fans; it was hot when we first arrived. The breakfast was pretty minimal, compared to what we found elsewhere in the Basque Country for two weeks. The noise of crowds and kids outside in the evening was pretty loud until nearly 23:00 - that's the downside of being right in the middle of the most popular area.

The hotel was very conveniently located to numerous tapas bars and a couple of real restaurants, as well as being just a short walk from the beach and harbor.

    Nothing

Location on the plaza, the tasteful restoration of this 17th cent hotel and the wonderful lively fishing town of Lekietio itself. This is a really great hotel in a great location.

The service was exemplary. I was shown around and allowed to choose my room since I was first to arrive. All the rooms have a great view. I was warm and comfortable. The hosts are generous (I didn't have to pay the full price for breakfast as I didn't eat much) and helpful.

The ambience, it doesn't have the feel of a good hotel. The decor is dated. Not good value for money.
