We loved the quality of the hotel restoration work & its location & being able to eat our delicious breakfast sitting out in the garden with glorious mountain views & the sound of cow bells from lower down the valley.

    Everything was wonderful.

Our hosts were exceptional, the location was just what we wanted, the morning view for breakfast on the back lawn was stunning, the breakfast itself was perfect, as was the coffee! Our room was 'palatial' - very spacious and beautifully appointed. The village of Abandames was really a pleasant surprise- lots of obvious pride of ownership in this one street town and well located for visits into the Picos.

The first night, we were the only guests. Very quiet. The second night, there were other guests in the room next to our room. This was noisy.

The owners are very friendly and helpfull. Beautiful location and great outside views.

Breakfast in the garden is à great pleasure. The spot is quiet and surroundings beautiful. Owners are charming and helpfull. Excellent place if you hate touristjams like Canvas de Onis and Potes.

No noise insulation. We were in a room on a ground floor and we could hear virtually every step of the guests from the room above as well as water running in the pipes. There was no kettle or a hair dryer.

Nice view on the mountains, tables and roofed terrace in the garden, big bathroom, good wi-fi

A kettle in the room would have been very welcomed and we were told that one would be provided in the future.

Excellent location, hotel, rooms and hospitality. Very relaxing and good walking country. We stayed for 5 nights and would have liked to stay longer.

    Nothing....was all good

What a magnificent place to stay...a beautifully refurbished castle type hotel.its in a tiny village and is quite remote so truly relaxing.the garden was peaceful in the shadows of the mountains.we were the only people in the hotel that night. The owner or man that greeted us was very nice but didn't stay around one we had checked in. On the plus side instead of going out to eat we went to the supermarket and made a picnic and sat in the garden amd ate it!!!

The owners couldn't do enough for us. They drove us to a restaurant 1.5 km away and translated the menu for us. It was fabulous. The hotel itself is an incredible building. Ask for the special room - we will next time!
