Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere are no additional entrances to guest rooms. All guests must enter and leave through main reception area; very inconvenient. Many other guests felt the same. Pool door isn't clearly labeled: locked out if opened and closed behind. We had to bother a nice lady to let us back in. Also, bathroom maintenance is required: shower head should be fixed, water leaks to outside door and mold on tile grout.
Overall we enjoyed our stay: Lounge, breakfast, acccommodations and views were all good.

The history of the castle is amazing. It originated during the 12th century with multiple add on from different rulers over the centuries.

FranceService in the bar was quite slow. Dinner in the restaurant was just OK, we were hoping it would be better. The razor clams were very gritty.
Lovely building with great views of the river and town. Good size rooms, comfortable beds with nice bedding.

United KingdomDinner as explained sbove
We had evening meal and although in theory it should have been good, it was dissapointing. Starters, croquettes, were tasty but boring, needed a bit of salad, the lamb was beautiful and tender, but potatoes were over salted to point of being uneatable. The olive oil offered with bread to start was to die for, so would not , not return because of the meal. Ambience, views and town were above expectations and breakfast was excellent

LuxembourgThe staff is doing their best... But we noticed that it could be sometimes difficult to get the attention of the dinner staff. They weren't rude, just seemingly overwhelmed. And curiously at breakfast they have a tiny coffee machine. It takes capsules so it was self-serve but seemed terribly small and slow to accommodate a large group of people.
This property was over-the-top in many ways. Impeccably outfitted with all the fascinating furnishings and decor that one would expect of a former residence of a Moorish king. We upgraded our room so we had lots of space, lots of windows (that look out over the Erba River valley). It was breath-taking. The location on the hilltop brought the history of the residence to life and the location above the town allowed for an enjoyable visit to the cathedral.

United KingdomUnfortunately, no matter where we went within the hotel, we couldn't escape the smell of the drains. Such a shame!
Beautiful building, and great rooms with large balconies. Breakfast was good, but expensive. Evening meals in the restaurant were excellent. Table service in the bar was also great. Great location for exploring the city on foot.

United KingdomAll the staff throughout the Parador were lovely except for the bar staff where the service was completely inadequate. It took 40 minutes each night, from entering the bar, to get served with drinks. The bar staff all appeared disinterested in any form of positive customer care. When the bar opened for food at 8'00/8.30pm the servers there were very much better.
The room was super with a balcony overlooking the gardens and city. The Parador itself was gorgeous with a swimmimg pool and outdoor bar if you wished. The bar snacks were deleicious.
