Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainDinner hours in restaurant. 20h30 is rather late, particularly for travellers who've done a long day's drive, or for foreigners (of whom there are many in Spain, with the number constantly increasing) more used to eating at 19h or so. Also, there are no real entertainment facilities at the hotel, such as an indoor pool (in winter) or fitness centre, to occupy people while they wait for dinner. Similarly, the bar/cafe should have been open for breakfast. I understand this is largely a question of staff costs, but you might consider the PR aspect as well. Also, information about the property or the surroundings was VERY hard to access. One had not just to turn on the TV but then to open a QR code to find the basic info, such as eating hours. I actually resorted to phoning the front desk to save time! At least that worked. Location: a bit far from the centre of town.
Lovely room. The fact that they charged 18€ for a buffet breakfast but allowed people to order just a coffee, for 5€. Very considerate! Very friendly front desk staff.

United States of AmericaThere are no fans in the room, (except the heater), which made it very humid. In the mornings, the windows would be very wet, with water running down the walls when we’d wake up. We had to open the windows to dry out the room. There is an arm chair, but it is worn out and uncomfortable. The Restaurant is open from 20:30 to 23:30, (which seems a bit late, even by Spanish standards) and we didnt care for the food in the cafeteria. Since the hotel is on a hill, towards the edge of town, it can be a long walk to find a restaurant close by.
The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious with large windows. There is lots of free parking, if you get a rental car. The mini fridge was nice, but it would have been nice to have a coffee maker.

United KingdomHotel felt cold in some of the communal areas. Would have been good to have been provided with a kettle (we English like to be able to make our own cups of tea and coffee in the room!). Bedroom furniture was getting somewhat bashed and the wardrobe was very noisy to open and close. Breakfast (which we paid for once on a one-off basis) seemed poor value for money.
Hotel had a very modern, light airy feel to it. Bedroom was good. Nice view across to the countryside beyond the hotel. Very comfortable and clean beds. Great to have a bidet in the bathroom. Location was pretty good being a shortish walk into the town. Staff generally helpful and friendly. They enabled me to speak Spanish without speaking in English!

GibraltarBath, I prefer a walk in shower.
The room and car park was excellent but obviously it isn’t cheap. There are cheaper hotels in Antequera but most don’t have the car park option and if they have, normally their car park is a bit complicated In the sense of location and size.

United KingdomOne minor moan from an early riser- the bistro by the pool doesn’t open early so if you want a coffee with a vista you have to walk down into town (about 5 mins)
Really great hotel. It’s the only luxury option in the town and it does it really well. Beautiful views over the valley and mountains and a really peaceful retreat from the town. Art work around the hotel is lovely, hotel kept immaculately. Super easy to get into Malaga for either a trip to town or for flights. - there’s a bus / coach that leaves early and is a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Antiquera itself is one of my favourite towns in southern spain. Really beautiful old town.
