It would have been nice, even though the pool wasn't open yet (it was at the same time last year) to have the opportunity to sit out in the sun on the grassed area nearby . The storks in the trees in the grounds are a little noisy! The staff on departure in reception weren't up to the helpfulness levels of the arrival personnel.

Atmospheric and comortable Courtyard for relaxing with book and a drink, many of the staff (especially the bar staff)were friendly and professional and the rooms were very clean, with a good size bathroom. The smell of the orange blossom is delightful at this time of year. We were greeted particularly well ont the evening of arrival by the gentleman on reception.

The air conditioning is straight out of the 1980s. During our stay (a warm mid-May day) it was switched off in the entire hotel. Apparently it's only available on some seasonal average basis. Even if it works it makes an enormous racket. The hotel would do better to fit the windows with insect screens and abandon the pretense of air conditioning. Internet access capacity available is totally inadequate (despite good wifi infrastructure). We had to fall back to 4G.

Staff deserves a medal for trying to keep the parador brand afloat: always a smile, always prepared to help. Great service at reception and in the bar.

No coffee in the room, but we were able to run down and bring some back up.

It's an outstanding hotel in a beautiful building. The dinner was excellent and the setting for cocktails on the terrace was amazing.

It is an old castle in the centre of town. As such it was very good. The meals were excellent, the room was fine and the courtyard a wonderful place to relax and have a drink with friends.

Wifi is free of charge but slow.. could be improved. Also, pricing of breakfast is rather high but overall rate for this 4 star hotel (overnight stay incl breakfast) is absolutely justified.

Super location, friendly staff, nice pool with garden, restaurant with patio (excellent for dinner in warm climate)

This Parador is one of the historic buildings in the ensemble - a castle in fact! The staff were friendly, the location was in a very scenic area and the food excellent. Highly recommended!

We arrived in the evening on a hot day (41 C) and our room was roasting hot. It took about 4 hours or more for it to cool down after we switched on the AC. Please ask the hotel to cool the rooms in advance.

It was warm for the season but could not use the airco since it was seasonal. The rooms could be a bit renewed.

Very nice building and location for whoever likes relax and peaceful environment, with several important locations to be visit close by.

A little over priced for food/drink if not purchased on half board/bed & breakfast rate. No pool - possibly due to time of year we visited

Very clean and quiet. Great location. Very near to shops and plenty of bars and places to eat. Friendly Staff. Beautiful hotel

Lack of towels in swimming pool at rush hour, but this is a minor thing.

The installations was really beautiful and comfortable, something very special, and the staff were all extremely friendly and responsive.

Disappointed that the pool area was not open. Pool water was green and area obviously not in use, disappointing as the weather was sunny and hot and an hour or two by the pool would have been good.

Beautiful building, large room with big comfy bed, great bathroom...fluffy towels. Had a good night's sleep. Staff were helpful and professional. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat at the restaurant as we thought it was expensive.

That I couldn't stay two nights.

The beauriful architecture of the Palace and the history and grandeur of it. Holy Roman Emperor Charles V stayed here for 3 months in 1556, while waiting for his annex in the nearby Monastery of Yuste, where he retired from the world after abdication, was completed.

    Can't think of any negatives

The building is awesome. The surroundings are very peaceful, and at the same time there are stores, and cafes, nearby. I have to say that I liked it better than in the pictures. Breakfast was very good. Very convenient to historical places like "El monasterio de Yuste"

Beautiful building and surroundings. Best wi-fi ever. Lovely pool. Even had facilities to assist less able into the pool. The courtyard was like a hollywood version of a French Foreign Legion fortress. Beautiful.
