The staff (except the lady receptionist who greeted us) were not the friendliest. The lighting in the reception area was rather dark and the atmosphere a bit gloomy. It was a pity that coffee or other drinks were not available outside meal-times, a drinks machine would have been welcome. The hotel car-park was not closed at night, which meant some concern about security during the night with our room on the ground floor, so we had to keep the terrace door shut. The swimming-pool appeared to have no chlorine, which was especially concerning regarding children's use. I developed a mouth-ulcer as a result of this. Neither was there any life-saving device to hand, in the absence of a lifeguard. The pool steps were loosely secured at one end.

The spacious room, terrace and bathroom, tasteful furnishings. Good location of hotel, although a little far from the town centre. Great views of the ría from all rooms and quiet. Convenient parking. Reasonable choice of items for breakfast. Nice size swimming pool was a bonus.

Unfortunately no diving board in the pool as per advertised pictures. Dogs are allowed - which I am ok with - but perhaps no Dogs or pets on first floor bedrooms; as there was a smell in our room of Dogs :(

Great prices in the hotel, friendly staff.

There was a staff member, i believe it's the owner and his wife, that were very rude and did not make us feel comfortable during our stay. Its a shame with a nicer person in charge it could be a good hotel. There were 2 other reception staff that were nice which was lucky.

Very poor condition, nobody there. No facilities that you can use. Pool dirty.

It is quiet, but far too expensive for it's location and condition. Would not recommend this hotel

The hotel has had its best days. It could use some refreshing. Location and proximity to the bridge is a real downer.
