Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The water temperature is a little bit difficult to adjust.
The neighbourhood feels safe, walking distance to many attractions. The location is really close to Casa Batllo and close to 2 different train stations. The host was also very friendly, warm, gave us many recommendations (speaks English) and very responsive.

The place it is very well maintained, typical Barcelonese building in a lovely and safe area near restaurants, shops and bars. The room with private bathroom very clean and conformable matrass and pillows. The host's cordiality offered information regarding points of interest, transportation there is a luggage deposit and a lounge room with free cakes, purified water and teas, fridge and freezer. Really good place to stay in a lovely location.

The beds were a little too hard, but that's my personal preference.
The property is in a very good location. Clean rooms, a big plus for the hairdryer and well-functioning wi-fi. Another plus was the common area where you could make yourself a coffee or tea and have muffins. There was also a fridge. Very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommended!

Pillow was a bit thin. Nothing big.

Nothing negative to say at all about it
We were very happy with the Pensió. We got a lovely welcome from the manager when we arrived and he took some time to go through some touristy options and transport tips with us. It was very bright and modern inside, and very clean. The location was really fantastic. Just 10-15 mins walk to Plaça de Catalunya. It’s in a very nice neighbourhood, feels very safe at night. You get a set of keys so you can come and go as you please so feels nice and private too. We will definitely be booking this place again when we come back to Barcelona :)

The room is a bit small for its price but it was the best we could get in our last-minute trip.
Very nice room with a balcony, clean bathroom, quiet. I also had the possibility to spend some time in the shared balcony and kitchen after the check-out. The location is perfect, you can go almost everywhere walking.

Nothing at all.
The rooms are clean, good sized and the bedding is comfortable. Water, Tea, Coffee and Muffins are available in a common area along with other useful condiments. The location is very good. There are 2 different metro stations within walking distance of the property, Tetuan being closer than Girona. The rooms are cleaned everyday. An outdoor balcony is also available if you smoke. Salvador is a gem of a person and an absolute delight to deal with. He was happy to sit me down and walk me through local attractions, places of interest, and how to easily get to them using the metro. He was also happy to book me a Taxi to the airport at no additional charge. Would surely recommend the property for your stay in Barcelona

This is a personal preference therefore shouldn't affect your decision; the bed was a bit sturdy to my liking but still good. Not sure if it's cause it was so quiet but you could hear when people talked on the hallway or on the next room.
Staff was very friendly, specially the cleaning lady, such a sweetheart. Location was great, it might seem sketchy during the first night (some areas have less lighting) but its actually great. Room was nice and clean, daily room service. Not to mention that it is really worth it but what you pay.

Everything was perfect
It was a very good stay! The room was very clean, the place is in the heart of Barcelona and everything was perfect. The host Salvador was super kind and informative, also really helpful letting us leave the luggage there for more then the time of our booking, I would definitely come back!!

Noise in the bathroom when toilet is being flushed. Shower needs updating. It was very weak. TV is only in Spanish.
Centrally located. Metro is 2-5 minute-walk. On the 3rd floor, but there’s a lift. Beds are made up everyday. Bins are changed everyday. Huge room. Lovely tall ceilings. Good provision of hot and cold water for drinking. There’s a fridge which everyone can use. No spoons though? 🤔 Good wifi. Grocery store (Carrefour) is just around the corner. Hairdryer…made my day! 😍 Greeted by Salvador’s grandma-in-law who’s lovely. She attempted to communicate with us in English which I found sweet. ❤️

we could feel humidity in the room which was weird.
Very convenient space and excellent location. they also clean and change sheets every day! Also it was very nice that you can store your luggage there until your flight.
