The only downside was getting my room cleaned in a timely manner. They came in too late in the day when I was resting in the room.

Friendly check-in excellent information provided. The room was comfortable with a lovely bathroom lots of toiletries with huge towels. Hot water access at all times no issues with this. Location is awesome close to the metro station just steps away and close walkable distance to many sites. I tend to enjoy walking to places as well as just to wander about if possible and this certainly was. I did not opt in for breakfast at the hotel there's plenty of options in the area that were enjoyable to try out. Lovely hotel great location.

Beautiful garden was practically useless- upper level no seating/ benches, etc. and lower ground level had somewhat uncomfortable seating with no umbrellas/ no shade. Our two rooms were facing the back of the building where homeless people would yell to one another all night long keeping us all up with their shouts. Both our back doors were too warn off to close tight to insulate the noises from outside. Inside the hotel random guests were very loud until after 3:00am after Friday night. Inside the hotel even right by our rooms upstairs felt as safe as outside the building (not too safe). Looked like anyone could get in if they wanted to. Most hotels have a way of screening traffic to make sure only current guests can pass the front desk.

The upper floors, guest corridors etc., and the rooms desperately needed refurbishment - the wallpaper was peeling, ceiling tiles stained and furniture old and worn. The TV in room was enormous, but only showed four (Spanish language) channels - no international news (BBC World etc.) which we would expect from a 4* Hotel. Breakfast was great, but restaurant overcrowded and had to wait for hot food to be replenished. Waiters did their best, but overwhelmed by guest numbers. The key cards for room entry did not work and had to be replaced on a daily basis - requires investigation. Only one guest lift was working, so a long wait was required for access to our (4th floor) room. Despite these (hopefully constructive) criticisms, we loved staying at this hotel and would definitely return!

Fantastic location in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, directly adjacent to La Ramblas. Easy access to Liceu Metro Station. Ground floor, reception, bar & restaurant were beautiful - arranged around a courtyard garden. Service was excellent and breakfast buffet was first class - quality & quantity & value for money. Staff were amazing, very friendly & helpful. Guest rooms were a good size, however they were let down by the tired & worn finishes and furniture (see below).

Our bathroom toilet had not been cleaned, and the seat specifically was filthy! I had to clean and scrub to remove some very foul dried on matter. Very unexpected and unpleasant...

Breakfast was delicious for the fresh variety, the helpful staff and replenishment of fresh fruit juices. The small garden patio with chairs and couches, heaters and umbrellas with lovely greenery made a tranquil spot for reading, sipping wine served by the bar or any time.

Great location at a reasonable price, taxis are readily available from right outside the hotel on La Rambla. The inside of the hotel is very peaceful with trees and a relaxing garden area which provides a stark and much needed contrast to the beautiful chaos on the streets outside.

This is my second visit to Boquería Garden. The staff was much friendlier and available this year than a year ago. I'm not sure if that was post-COVID hiring or what. The breakfast is always good at a Petit Palace and this one seems to be a little better than others.

There were a few scruffy bits to the room, a piece of trim had fallen off the bathroom shelf, the net curtains looked a bit grubby, a poor repair had been done to the wallpaper. You had to put the kettle on the floor to plug it in. There was no hot water in the shower on our last day.

The location is absolutely excellent. Lovely grand entrance hall We had a premium room which had 2 big windows overlooking the courtyard which made it nice and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable. Staff were helpful. Garden was nice. We didn't have breakfast there so can't comment on that.

Furniture and facilities showed some wear and tear, sometimes water pressure was low. There seemed to be ongoing maintenance for some technical issues, but nuisance was kept to a minimum.

Excellent location, decent size (basic) room and lovely breakfast with lots of options. Very close to metro station and busy tourist areas, but there's no noise from the street and the garden/terrace is peaceful and green. Drinks and food available if you're too tired to go out after exploring the city.
