Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was in the eaves of the roof with sloping ceiling on 3 sides making walking around difficult.
Beautiful hotel. Room very nicely appointed with tea and coffee station in room. Extra blanket and nice warm radiator. Super nice staff at reception.

Absolutely gorgeous Posada on the Camino. Wasn’t able to walk today due to heavy rain and an injured knee. It was wonderful to be able to check in early and spend some extra time relaxing here. The people were so warm and helpful - especially Mara who spoke perfect English too. One of those places you’d really dream of returning to, even if you weren’t walking. I didn’t have breakfast but it looked excellent.

A really stunning property - a big step up from many along the Camino. You very much feel like you've stepped back in time because of the original features and beautiful decor. Very comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. Also a very tranquil garden.

United StatesSomehow my GPS took me a couple blocks away. So it took me a few minutes to find it. But it was well worth it.
The grounds and the room were both beautiful. It is in a quiet area with a great shower and great Wi-Fi. I wish I could have stayed longer.

CanadaWe were able to keep bikes there, but had to keep them outside (under a small covered porch). There is also not much in the town as it feels like a suburb rather than a standalone town. As it's an old building, you can hear people moving around.
What a wonderful hotel in a very historic building. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were lucky as there were few guests while we were staying there. We would definitely stay here again.

United Statesi went first to the wrong place with similar name that required an extra two hours of driving- they could make the QUNTANA part of their name more obvious since there are a few other Posada de Torres First room was cold and in secondary building need coffee earlier in AM - waiting to 8 or 8:30 is too late for people who get up at 5 not many dining options nearby and none were open the day I was there

New ZealandWith historic buildings come a few drawbacks like creaky floorboards, no AC and tiny windows. You can get breakfast at the Posada but for other meals it’s a wee walk to the nearest restaurant.
This is a fabulous historic building and a real treat for those walking the Camino. The room we had was in the original building and was quite large. The bathroom was a real treat and after finishing a long walk having a vino blanco in the garden was just the ticket.

IrelandRoom carpets could've been cleaner. Nice area but not much to do and only two restaurants (one of which was closed)
Lovely historic old property with plenty of character. Comfortable, plenty of hot water, good showers. Low beams in rooms so watch your head. Nice scenery. Beach in nearby Laredo is fantastic (though the resort itself has seen much better days).

IrelandThe building and grounds are beautifully kept, and there is a sense of history when you arrive. The bedroom is clean, comfortable and quaint, and there is everything you need in it. The staff are wonderful, and gave us plenty of recommendations from sights to dinner. Easy check in and out process, reasonable price for the night. 5km from Laredo, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. 10 min walk from a good restaurant in Liendo and to the village centre.
