The location is good even it is not in center very easy to go via metro. Pedro was very helpful for everything.

There was no parking in the area. Most people don't have to worry about this, so it is not going to mean anything to most, but if you have a rental car, like I did, expect to pay exorbitant prices for on-street parking or walk a good 2 km after parking in a car park. The owner did recommend a couple of streets I could park on for free, but, after the first night, I didn't want to take a chance of not getting a spot, so I found an inexpensive car park online (that wasn't too faraway) and reserved a space for four days and then jogged there each morning (which I didn't mind at all) to get the car. The noise in the hostel was a bit much sometimes (including my children making too much noise sometimes), mostly people going in and out, so at night I left the white noise running, and it drowned out most of the sounds: I could sleep better then. So it wasn't a big deal. The location, though good, was not great. Because to see the main sights, you need to take the metro (if you don't have a car). The hostel is near a metro station, but the metro there only goes one stop and then you have to get off and transfer to one of the main lines, which seems ridiculous.

I liked the manager/owner. He was very helpful whenever I needed something, and he was kind--he is the heart and soul of the place. The location was good in the sense that it was near an historical area, which was very nice to walk around. It was also near a metro station and some bus lines, and the university zone. I thought the beds were comfortable; I slept well. And the shower was, honestly, fantastic: a strong stream of hot water whenever I wanted it. The facilities were fairly good, too. I could store market supplies in the refrigerator downstairs, and there was plenty of kitchenware that I could use when I wanted to eat something, i.e. bowls, plates, silverware, microwave, toaster, etc. There was also a TV and ping pong table that we could use, if we wanted. It is a good place to come back to after a hard day of touring the sights. :) And the price was unbeatable, if you're on a budget.

Very nice place, just a few minutes away on foot from the nearest subway station. Small, but clean and quite cozy, equipped with everything you might need. The owner is just great! Almost all the time on site, very helpful and welcoming. We had a very late check-in (after 12pm) and had been provided with very clear instructions in advance, so everything went smoothly. Perfect place for such price!

The hostel would benefit from a general thorough scrubbing and renovating. But for the price you pay and given how it covers all your basic needs for a short stay in Barcelona, I'd still recommend this hostel to anyone who is unpretentious and on a budget.

Given the very good price you pay, this hostel offers very good value in terms of comfort and especially location. The bathroom was very clean and the water pressure was good. The sheets were clean. The staff at the reception is very kind, helpful and funny.

It’s a little bit far from anything and there could be more things for breakfast but expect for that it’s really great hostel. Totally worth it.

We needed a quick, last-minute place to stay near the US consulate, and this was perfect! Check-in was easy, especially since we arrived after midnight. Room was very clean. Pedro was very communicative and kind to us.

Room was remarkably small, and the private bathroom in that room was tiny, including the smallest shower I've ever seen. Not a major issue. One of the duvets we were given was stained (body fluids) which made us wonder if everything else, which did appear to be clean, had been washed (on request we were promptly provided with a freshly laundered replacement). And my daughter stepped on a tiny piece of broken glass in the bathroom. No major downsides, except the price. And yes, I know that accommodations in barcelona are just plain expensive.

Staff were great. Air conditioning was silent and effective. Access to fridge and microwave was appreciated. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Water pressure in shower was good and it was possible to have a hot shower. Room was quiet, until people in adjacent room started making noise around 8am. Metro stop very close. Restaurants and grocery stores znd bakeries nearby.
