Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The noise of the road but that's not the hotel's fault. Tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge in the room would have been welcome. The aircon didn't work but just blew out hot air. OK in spring when it was only occasionally stuffy but it would have been a nightmare in summer. The drain in the sink was very sluggish from the start then completely blocked. However, the hotel dealt with it immediately.
The room was rather loud on account of its proximity to a busy road, so all the rooms in the building are probably loudish. The shower smelt of drains on occasion and the sink was blocked. However, the staff were very helpful and friendly and dealt with the problem almost immediately. The lockers available for €2 per day to store luggage were very helpful.

The beds were not very comfortable especially the pillows that was the bigest negative thing for me. The hairdryer also which you have to ask from the reception was not really doing any work (super small and not strong).
The hotel was very close to the metro station so even though is not central is very easy to go around. The neighbourhood is also very nice, quiet with many places for food and drinks we really liked it. Friendly stuff and helpful and the acomondation for the price is fair. The rooms were clean.

Everything was more or less ok, we read the reviews before and didn't expect anything better. The price is too high for so simple acommodation but it's general problem of Barcelona
