Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainNoisy cleaning staff at 7 a.m. (my room was one floor up from reception, next door to where the cleaning staff stored their things -- bad luck for me) No air-con, made for a hot and stuffy room. Mosquitoes are to be expected in Barcelona whenever you have open windows. Dirty walls (dead mosquitoes, old blutack and bits of paper). If the above points don't bother you, then don't hesitate because the location for the price is great.
Excellent location. Good security. The kitchenette was a major plus, despite the sparse and poorly kept utensils etc. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. I know the city well and my room reminded me of some of the old apartments of friends. Honestly, despite the inconveniences I've mentioned, this was a very good option for me.

The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The rooms were allright, nothing unexpected. But the area where its located is pretty great as well. The bar right next to the residence serves some excellent breakfast.

IrelandI presume the room is usually equipped with one bed and one person but with two beds and two persons it was quite small. Cooking was difficult lacking many utensils to do simple tasks. There was a lot of dust evident under the beds and behind lockers (I had to pull these out to search for something that fell). The bathroom had many stained areas that I didn't like. Price was higher than I would.have expected.

United KingdomSecond floor with window to the road with restaurant underneath meant there were customers till about 2400 and as the chairs remain accessible through the night a group of people was there around 3 to 4 in the morning. On the other hand lovely bird song and the occasional bus on Sunday morning
Opposite the park, close walk to Bus station North, 20 mins to the beach. With kitchenette

ArmeniaThere's no AC, just a fan. Its almost impossible to sleep without open windows, but with open windows the street is very noisy, so basically it's very hard to sleep. In 4 nights, only once cleaning came, and it was on the first day.
The location is perfect, near to the Arc de Triomf. Very pleasant workers.

SlovakiaAs we were travelling in August it was very hot because there is no air condition. But thankfully the ventilator made it a lot easier for us.🌻
It was quiet, clean and the kitchen with a fridge was an another big advantage. Also the laundry room. ✨ The staff was very kind and helpful. They cleaned the rooms every day. 🫶🏼

IrelandThe air conditioning I feel would have made a massive difference, it’s probably very expensive to have one in each room as it’s a student accommodation. I barely slept over the two days I stayed as it was warm at night and the fan wasn’t making much of a difference, it was very humid for me
The location was very good, close to a lot of amenities and the metro was close by too.

United StatesThere's no air conditioner and during summer in Barcelona this can ruin all your resting.
It was a nice place for a few days and for a fair price. The location is really nice. Next to parks and the beaches.

NetherlandsThere was a heatwave and I booked a room without AC lol.. It was so hot inside the room!! And I only had a ventilator, but it's my own fault I should've booked a room with AC. Anyways, not really the hotel fault that the weather was extraordinary hot :)
Price quality this place is good. Nowadays many stays in Barcelona are either very expensive or they have something shared, this place is somewhere in the middle. I also like the idea that a building is being used while its empty (students throughout the year -> tourists during vacation). The staff was friendly and I liked the location, normally I stay in El Born but this was only 10 minutes walk from there.

good location for daily trips, close to the beach, 2 km far away from the old part of Barcelona and Sagrada. The rest, Park Guel, Montjuic, poble espanol...very far, but you can go by metro which is 500 m away. Keep in mind that is no air condition.

United KingdomNo air conditioning. In August! Don’t stay here in summer. Absolutely Spartan. No breakfast. Ridiculously small bath with adequate shower. Very institutional feel. Location actually quite far from beach and metro, though good for Ciutatdella park with parliament and zoo. Kitchenette in room if you’re brave/broke/silly enough to use it. I doubt this would pass safety regs in UK and no safety equipment for it in the room.
Cheap, safe, clean.

IrelandMy only fault was how warm it was as there was no air conditioning and we were on the 4th floor of the building in 30 degree heat. We were provided with a small fan but this provided little comfort.
The location is very good it’s central to all the sights. It’s across from ciutadella parc and the arc de triomf and a short metro ride from all the other sights. Very close to the beach as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.
