Decent value for San Sebastian, quiet location

Its a fairly big walk from the old town, so we drove as we were only staying 1 night and then driving on to France. Parking in San Sebastian is a nightmare! There is probably good public transport options that we did not investigate.

We liked having a split room, we had a two rooms joined by a kitchen. We split it boys and girls which was fun for the kids. Free parking. A fairly decent location, restuarants and bars within walking distance. We walked to the beach promenade in the evening. Really nice friendly staff at the desk, who spoke great english.

unpretentious place to stay - a bit expensive (like everything else in San Sebastian)
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Basic Double Studio
    • Stayed 3 nights

No AC or screens on windows to keep out mosquitoes. The studio for 2 people was very small, practically just a basic single room. The stove did not work. The price per night was quite high for what it offers but still low compared to other accommodations in San Sebastian which is an insanely expensive town.

very friendly and helpful reception staff, located in a pleasant area of city, easy access to Ondaretta beach (15 min walk) and city centre and tourist areas by bus (bus 25 & 5 is just around the corner). It offers free private parking at the side of the building which is a big +.

Well prices were quite high compared to type of accomodation, but still lowest in town available that date. Cleanness was not that good.

Large accomodation, with lots of rooms, but putting 2 plus bead in each room makes it harder to navigate within the room and using doors properly

Meant to be luxury room. Two beds squashed into a single room so not much space. Building retained heat so hotter inside than out in summer with no air conditioning. Windows opened but no fly screens.

Comfortable beds. They had vending machines if you needed a snack/drink.

Shower door was hard to close and making noise. Bathroom door was making noise as well. No air conditioning, but a small, noisy fan is provided.

Free parking on the weekends in front of the building, free private parking at the side of the building. Coupled rooms are very convenient for families and friends. Kitchen.

Value for money is a big problem: to pay EUR 105 for a basic single room in a student hall is... A LOT. Like, really a lot. However, I am not blaming the residence itself for it: San Sebastian is INSANELY expensive, and doesn't have that many hotels, so the prices are what they are.

Manuel Agud Querol is a student hall open to international tourists. It comes with everything you'd expect from a student hall: lack of pretence; great, quite, campus location; AMAZING front-desk staff, plenty of fun people around (no noise though).

The window opened onto a main road. The price was a little more than we were hoping, but these are minor in comparison to the good points.

The room had a fridge with icebox, a hob, and a few kitchen basics. There was a large window that could be opened, and a security shutter. There was a pleasant courtyard that could be accessed, and a laundry room.

it’s roughly a 40-1 hour walk to the Old town so if you’re out for dinner/drinks do keep that in mind however it is a scenic walk and safe. There are a number of buses that service the area so you can travel by public transport up to a certain timeS

it’s clean, affordable and easy to find. the free parking is also a bonus. The staff are friendly. the studio room was modern and comfortable. it’s student accommodation so don’t expect the Ritz!
