One very small elevator not even wide enough for a walker, that would accommodate one large person or a slim person with one suitcase. Bathroom large and clean, with a large bathtub, but only meant for able bodied people Breakfast room on lower level from lobby, with stairs only. which made access impossible. Absolutely not a choice for elderly or slightly handicapped.

The room was old, but the biggest problem was the lack of soundproofing between the rooms. Sometimes we had trouble sleeping because of noise from neighboring rooms. Also at breakfast there was no salty option

It was a small room for 2 people but satisfactory for its price and clean. The best of all was the location, very central and convenient for our travels. The staff was also very kind!

The walls are very thin, about what you would expect from an old building.In fact I could hear the person in the next room farting! I don't know why this hotel has received so many negative reviews because there was nothing wrong with it. I have stayed in hotels that were a dump, So I know what a dump looks and feels like! And that does not fit The roma At all. Maybe some gen x'ers just expect perfection?

Excellent location on la rambla. The room is small and needs updating, but it was very clean from top to bottom. The breakfast was very basic with croissants, and several types of bread, butter and jam; A coffee machine dispensed about 10 different kinds of hot beverages. And also orange juice and yogurt were available. Joanna was very helpful in getting me A new key card made when the magnetic strip kept losing it's magnetic strength. And an elevator to get to the 5th floor!

The location is the best! My husband and I basically walked and took the metro. There are excellent restaurant options nearby. The breakfast is simple (croissants, cake, cereal, yogurt, bread, coffee, milk, jam) but it was delicious.

Walls between rooms are thin. Second night we had a group of lads who decided to have an after party in the room next door. It lasted until 5am and the noise was so loud that sleeping even with earplugs was impossible.

Can't beat the location. Right in the heart of the gothic quarter. Room was clean and reasonably spacious. Beds comfy and there was a great Shower. We had a room at the back so first night was very peaceful.

The hotel is not suitable for those who want to spend more time there. The cheapest room option was a room without a window, small, no hair dryer, other advantages. Breakfast is not plentiful (buns, yogurt, coffee). So if it's important, it won't work. If the hotel is just a place to spend the night, then it is a great choice.

Very low sealing and window under the arch gives a feeling of a basement. Very noisy all night through. Big problem with sockets, just one extender, hanging down from tv on the opposite to beds wall.

The decor of the rooms is outdated and tired looking. Everything else was fine.

Excellent location in the heart of Las Ramblas and very easy access to the metro. The rooms are basic but were fine for our short stay. We loved the breakfast, which is included in the price, and that our room was cleaned on a daily basis. Although the hotel is located in a busy square, our room was on the fifth floor, so we didn't hear any noise from the street below. We would definitely return again!

Placa Reial is very lively day and night. Especially early morning when people are locked out from the surrounding bars and night clubs.
