No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Unacceptable level of noise from kitchen below, although it didn't go on beyond 11.00 pm which was a bonus. Very dated rooms.

    Excellent Food.

Everything! A gorgeous old house, beautifully restored with modern facilities. Our bikes were happily stored in the typical Spanish courtyard. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. We hope to return next year.

Dissapointing, room very different from pictures, separe beds instead of double bed.

    • Junior Suite
    • Stayed 1 night

We had a Junior suite which is advertised on Booking.com as having a double bed. We ended up in a room completely different from the pictures we have seen (which were totally miss-leading) and with two single beds. When asking the staff what happened, they said Booking.com are at fault as they are always changing their policies. On top pf that the hot water was only warm and lacking pressure. And I'd say food in the restaurant is overpriced considering the quality.

The place is really nice and has a lot of potential. The surroundings of Guimar are very beautiful.

Thank you, Nathalie, for the amazing stay at your hotel! This was, actually, one of the best stays ever. You and your Team are wonderful, passionate about your business, very attentive and responsible. Everything was perfect: starting from the 100% clean bed linens going on to the breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. You need not worry about anything while staying at the Hotel Rural Casona: if you get bored or don't know what to do - you can always ask Nathalie and her team - they will arrange any kind of activity you might think of.

Breakfast was only served from 8:30, but it was a great breakfast indeed. Bus service is not as good as from other Teneriffan locations.

The hotel is nicely and lovingly decorated. The staff is very friendly. Dinner was great.

As stated above it's a lovely old building, so some sounds from other rooms is to be expected. However our room was located above the restaurant with cracks between the floorboards that were so big that we could see light from below. Unfortunately noise from the restaurant was quite loud and continued until late. Furthermore the bed, although also beautiful old style, was not comfortable. The headboard was loose, so every time a person moved in the bed, there was more noise.

    Beautiful old house. Friendly staff.

The bed was very short and not more than 4.6 foot wide The mattress was weary lumpy and the iron bed grain was rickety We had to ask for another room with longer bed as my husband over 6 foot tall They gave us very ordinary room and no redaction was offered after 3 nights stay Very disappointing

Ventilation-possibilities in rooms was poor, including bathroom.

The hotel was a re-built 200(?) year old house with a fantastic interior and very charming rooms, this only was worth seeing! We came in the evening and left early in the morning, so we did not test other facilities, but the host was very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing, our stay was lovely. Güímar is a nice town and a respite from the resort areas while still being close to the airport. The traditional building that is the hotel is atmospheric and welcoming. Its authenticity means you can hear life going on around (if this type of noise might bother you, simply bring ear plugs).

This hotel is a really charming place to stay with a character of its own. Nathalie and Yann were friendly hosts and made us feel very welcome despite have a very very busy evening with a full dining room. Once you have tried the food (wild mushrooms and other delights) you will understand its popularity. The vibe is cosy with a modern twist in the reception areas while the rooms are in the traditional style. It is wonderful to see such character retained while still offering excellent hospitality

Perhaps a little noisy both in the morning and late night, from the rooms upstairs it is possible to hear everything happening or being said in the restaurant/breakfast room and in the kitchen. Not a problem for us heavy sleepers but it might be unpleasant for the sensitive ones :)

The staff is very friendly and helpful, we got the suite room until the second last day although we had booked a regular room :) Breakfast is very good, with a nice variation of cheese hams and fresh fruits. Definitely the best choice if you have a car and want to stay away from the noisy and crowded touristy hotels. This place is cosy, authentic and very good when it comes to the quality of food and beverages. Great restaurant! Lovely patio!

Rooms were not clean; there was dust under the bed and in the bathtub. Also, our room (#4) was directly above the tapas bar, which was very noisy. As the house is very old, we could hear everyone talk as if they were standing next to our bed. Also, the bed was not of the best quality; after 5 nights I had bruises on my hips due to the springs in the bed.

Nice and helpful staff. When we had to leave early to catch the plane, they even made some take-away breakfast for us. Also, Guimar is a very pleasant little village with sufficient dining/drinking options.

Really nice hotel and restaurant, well decorated with a patio and a reading room. The staff was really welcoming. The food in the restaurant is mixing French and traditional canarian cooking. For sure a bit more expensive than an traditional tapas but for a real good price/quality if you want to spoil yourself during your trip on the island.
