    Climb up from car park.

Beautiful location surrounded by orange groves. The view from the outside breakfast terrace was amazing. Excellent breakfasts. Large cool bedroom furnished with antiques. Located in a quiet part of the island with lots to see. Car essential.

Beds were a bit hard. Asked for extra coverings (stayed end Jan/early Feb) Not easy to find the hotel the first time (travelled by car) but got to know route from Agaete quickly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Lourdes, the manageress Excellent breakfast on the the terrace Good value dinner with guests seated at 2 communal round tables: great conversations with other guests from other nationalities. Very quiet location. Nice grounds.

A few odd smells from shower room drains.

Really comfortable firm bed, good breakfast with a lot of home produce and wonderful setting. Good for relaxing and walking.

The evening meals on offer were not fantastic, but did save a drive to the coast or village.

Beautiful old building, well adapted, personal effects of the family, comfortable bed and bed linen, excellent breakfast spread.

Breakfast was fairly basic - more fruit would have been nice. Lunch was ok once we worked out to order from reception or you'll be waiting a long time. Theres a fixed menu for dinner and you have to book it in the morning if you want it. Everyone sits on the same table, so its a communal affair.

We loved the location with views of the mountains and 5 minutes from the sea and cliffs. The gardens and pool area were great. But loved the house, so full of character and antique furniture.

Uncomfortable beds, loud, hot, not very clean (other people's hair and thin layer of dust everywhere, as well as dirty corners in bathroom and tub). Obvious ant problem in the bathroom (they were everywhere! Why not spray before guests?) as well as a very smelly sewage smell coming from the toilet. We were put into the worst room when the place was not even fully booked. Host did not even bother to ask how things were when we checked out, although staff was polite enough otherwise. Do yourself a favor and pay more for a clean place with aircon. No idea why reviews were so good for this place.

    The pool. That is it.

The room was a bit hot as there was no air conditioning.

Heavenly view of the mountains from the swimming pool. Lovely old-world atmosphere in the house.

Shower room was a little on the small side and could do with a little modernising but not really a problem for a short stay.

Loved the scenery around. Felt like being a house guest in a private house.

Difficult to find in the dark.

This is a beautiful old house in a lovely setting. Peace and quiet guaranteed. Signora Lourdes (reception) was most helpful. Thank you.

There is a 500m dust track to navigate to reach the hotel - this was very badly rutted, making us fear for our hire car, but no damage was done. I expect this will have to be remedied soon otherwise it will become quite a risky process to access this otherwise gorgeous place.

The location of this hotel is superb, about 2km up the valley - we had views of the lemon grove with high mountains behind. We were slightly wary of eating breakfast outside but needn't have been - there were effective patio heaters and the morning air was as delicious and fresh as the pastries!! The place oozes rustic charm.

There's a real lack of service - no option of a pre-dinner drink or anyone to get you any drinks during the day - self service fridge is it. seems to run on a skeleton staff - although it was very clean and the staff I saw were pleasant.

the house is charming - breakfast on the patio was wonderful - the jurassic-like valley is beautiful, and its close to a nice little fishing village.

You definitely need a car in this location, which was fine, we booked this location with this in mind.

Lovely rural location and the hotel has so much character. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. A meal was prepared for us when we arrived quite late in the evening, even though I had not prearranged this, this was really appreciated. A picnic breakfast was provided on the morning of our flight as we had to leave very early.

The evening meal was served with warmth and passion but not of a very high standard.

The wonderful old finca, with lots of family history; property is nestled in a beautiful valley with georgeous views, especially from the breakfast/bar verandah and swimming pool area; citrus groves; and cactus garden.

The narrow road down to the house from the main road should be done something to. It was not pleasent to drive a car there.

Lovely place, beautiful nature and a well kept garden and orange plantation. Breakfast was enjoyed in front of a stunning view towards the Agaete valley. A very helpful staff made us an excellent breakfast which included everything you need in the morning. We loved the peaceful surroundings also.

The breakfast could be somewhat healthier, with more fresh fruits and juices rather than canned or bottled.

Extremely nice staff. A beautiful house, very quiet location with great views. The hammocks by the pool are great for quiet relaxing.

Everything, an autentic colonial house with a beautiful lush garden with mangoes avocados guyanas etc.. Peace and silence and a fantastic breakfast with fruits eggs yogurts omelettes and croissant all in an enchanting terrace. The staff is delightful.

It's a shame they didnt have a restaurant and quality food to offer hungry guests. That would have made this place excellent. The breakfast was poor. Especially for someone who doesn't eat bread or meat.. Canned fruit and only yoghurt with sugar, and juice made from concentrate only. Sad really, especially considering their huge fruit yard, with all the ripe fruit laying underneath the trees just rotting away.

The location is wonderful and the rural house itself is beautiful with all the unique rooms, the garden, swimming pool area etc. Could've been a dream weekend. Friendly but not very helpful or engaged staff. They didn't seem to have the passion for this very special place.

Nothing to do with the hotel or location, but the council need to put better sign-age on how to find the hotel, as the streets in Agaete are very narrow, and are no help in getting you to the hotel.

The beautiful location, and the fact that all the artifacts of this colonial home are on display, and can be looked at. The grounds are the loveliest place to forget about everything, just a great place to visit.

The room was quite nice but not so clean in places. The bathroom however was a different matter . The toilet, although having a sanitized hygiene sticker on it, was found to have excrement in it. The bath clearly had not been cleaned as there was human hair in and around it. As for the shower head , this fell to bits in my hand when trying to adjust its position. Although advertised as a hotel, it had no bar. The grounds around the hotel including the pool needed a good tidy and the building itself, although full of character looked tired and needed some maintenance. Not quite as portrayed on the website!

The beds were comfortable & clean. A small complementary bottle of wine in the room.

The only thing I would change would be heating the swimming pool as in early May I found it very chilly and I would have liked to have been able to swim more during our stay

This is an incredibly calm and peaceful place set in a beautiful valley. We were the only Brits there which was great too and in the nearby town Agaete no one really speaks English so it has a very local feel. Las Longueras is a really quirky hotel, definitely slightly shabby chic but I would rate it so much higher than your usual tourist experience

This was our 5th visit. The rural location would be hard to beat (you'll need a car). The staff are polite, helpful and friendly. If you like warm rolls, croissants, meats, cheeses, fruit, cereal, yogurts, eggs cooked the way you like them, coffee, teas etc, you'll LOVE breakfast (served until 1030). I think there are only 10 or so rooms so the place never feels crowded. This place is a slice of heaven on Earth!
