I just don't get why they don't open the ground floor bar - there is a lovely courtyard where there could be a great atmosphere with people relaxing over coffee or whatever they choose. I would go out for breakfast - we had the express version on our last day as we were leaving early - it wasn't great.

We have stayed in the hotel many times before and love the location and the roof top pool. Some of the staff recognised us from last year and were very friendly. The hotel has been taken over by SoHo Boutique hotels and it's clear that some improvements are being made e.g. new beds and TVs. The roof top pool bar is a good addition to the service and there is a pleasant seating area in which to enjoy an early evening drink before going for dinner

The shower didn't work properly! The carpets were stained and dirty, cleanliness was very poor! The plumbing was extremely noisy you could here everything from the neighbour ie. when they were showering or going to the toilet.

    Not much!

The hotel was a bit tired and worn out. It needed a facelift and a serious update of the common areas and bedrooms. The staff felt a bit jaded, and apart from the woman who quickly and efficiently checked us out at the end of our stay, we were a bit disappointed by their response time and knowledge of the hotel and surroundings environs. It was way too expensive for the standard of the rooms.

We had planned to stay in Cadíz, but there were no rooms left (!!) but we couldn't have been happier with this location. I think we left liking El Puerto de Santa Mariá more than Cadíz - great location! The restaurants/tapas bars were outstanding throughout the town. The ferry to Cadíz is right across the street, and runs frequently...though does not return very late in the evening.

I booked a two beds room, during check in the staff changed reservation to one bed room... WIFI DID NOT WORK, they just said: “we are having trouble with routers” !with no solution! And the last, the bathroom was too dirty. Low quality bad value for money.

We had a room giving to the inside and it was fairly quiet although one could easily listen the people talking in the corridor. Customers are clearly asked to avoid to talk in the corridor but ...

The toilet is quite old and the air conditioning is very noise. it is difficult to sleep if you have it running. There were a lot of students or teenagers who were doing party with loud music in the early morning.

it is a nice hotel with a great location close to the beach, train station and city centre. Huge bed and very confortable. There is a swimming pool at the terrace which it is a basic in Spain, due to the hot temperatures. Friendly staff whom help you to book taxi, good restaurants.

The woman in reception seemed a bit flustered and check in took longer than usual even though we were the only people checking in. She kept answering her phones while dealing with us.

This hotel is always good and the facilities are excellent clean and the rooms well appointed.

Staff were fabulous and attentive, good sized bright and airy room, easy parking (sometimes free in front of Hotel) loads of restaurants and bars nearby and fun for kids- big commercial centre 15 min walk, historic centre a stones throw and ferry to Cadiz two minute walk.

No tea or coffee facility in the bedroom. There was not a satisfactory head rest to the bed other than pillows. Otherwise the bed was very comfortable.

All levels of staff were more than helpful, welcoming polite and pleasant at all times. Top marks for the convenient situation of the hotel. and top marks and for rooftop pool and spectacular views from roof top.

While the room was good, great bed, plenty of space there were some minor defects that let it down. Our room safe could not be opened till next day, but they quickly gave us another room with working safe. A piece of skirting was falling off the wall and an electric switch panel on the wall was loose.

Friendly staff. Lovely roof pool with fine views. Great feel of luxury and comfort in lounge / bar area. Walking distance to several tapas bars and restaurants. Passenger ferry to Cadiz is across the road. Plenty of free on-street parking nearby.
