Great Food, and a comfortable stay

The only downside was the dreadful wiFi, did not work in my room, had to sit in the lobby to work. Had to download flight boarding card, Emailed it to reception who printed it for me.

I was able to park my van in an area adjacent to hotel, so open air parking a big for me. Room was large, bed comfy. The room decor and bathroom were dated, clearly in need of a re fresh, but for one night it did the job. Best was the set menu, in the restaurant, 3 courses, and a bottle of wine for €16, and it was superb, worth every cent. breakfast was OK, but yet to have a good continental breakfast. There was eggs, meats, cheese etc.

Shower hose in bathroom in room 512 was broken but useable.

Nice hotel. The outside does not look super great (construction going on nearby) but the inside is comfortable. Fantastic pool. Good service. The room was good too with fridge. I enjoyed this hotel much more than some of the others I have tried in Palencia.

Air conditioning machine did not work properly. Room needs to be modernised. Problem with toilet flush. Stains all over the carpet. Breakfast was poor.

The room was very big and so was the bed.

While the hotel is in a normal modern building, the whole thing seems a bit run down and lacking maintenance. Very limited car parking. Food at the evening"menu del dia" disappointing. The management have a notice in the corridor apologising for the state of the site next door, which is not their responsibility. Coach parties catered for.

This is a standard modern hotel with the usual layout in the room. Everything worked OK. Most staff helpful and courteous. Good selection at breakfast. Convenient to pleasant walks along the river.

This hotel in my opinion is only justified as a 4 star because it has an outdoor pool. We arrived to find that the indoor parking was full so had to park in a run down dirt track next to the hotel. The outside appearance of the hotel was old , run down and very tatty. I expected a lot more for a 4 star hotel . I stayed in a sister hotel in Murcia a few weeks previous , also 4 star , and it was palatial by comparison.

Room and bed were large. Value for money.

Parking could have been an issue but luckily we did get a space outside reception. The air-con in the room seemed to turn itself off after an hour - we should probably have spoken to reception about it but it's something that should be checked.

Fantastic hotel. Huge family room with very generous (and well-equipped) bathroom. Comfortable (massive!) bed and perfectly adequate sofa bed for son. Double room also a good size. We had lunch at the onsite restaurant and found it very tasty and great value. The pool and gardens were fab. Not a massive pool, but perfect for a cool dip after a long, hot drive! We ate out for dinner (Chinese restaurant about 5 minutes away - fantastic!!) but the evening menu at the hotel looked excellent. Breakfast had a lot of choice & a great pod coffee machine. Minibar in room was very welcome. Never stayed at a Sercotel Hotel before but certainly won't be the last.

The retro interior and exterior felt like travelling back in time to the 1970's. Not sure if it still qualifies as a 4-star hotel nowadays, but at least it wasn't a 4-star price. For a 1-night stopover, it did the job.

Mature female reception staff member who checked us in had poor English & couldn't really explain how to work the room air conditioning. The floor of the gym was littered with dead cockroaches. There were bare wires exposed in the bathroom ceiling in one room above the bath
