Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No instructions on how to work the room temperature controls..not clear if the water in the fridge was complimentary.

A kettle would have been nice but everything was very good.
Nice large room 100mtrs from the bus into the city centre, huge bed and great shower. The staff were friendly and helpful for us. Situated about 20 minutes from the city centre meant it was nice and quiet after spending all day in town.

Area is a little run down. Not a big deal but was noticed. The restaurant looked nice but i did not eat there. No AC. Tried to cool the room with the fan but it never dropped below 28C. Told to open the window and the room went down to 27 still to warm for me. Also traffic noise due to the open window was loud

There was no information on the hotel facilities in the room, so we had to go back downstairs to find out what meal options there were. I do feel that the car park shouldn't be an extra charge.
The location is good for the airport. Reception staff were friendly and helpful with excellent English.

That a taxi 5 mins from the airport costs the same as from city center. Also the area was not very nice but sufficient for our goal to get to the airport early.

Beds could do with replacing after several years of staying at the hotel. Coffee and tea making facilities would be nice in the rooms (as previously).
Best thing about the hotel are the staff! Javier has been in the bar and restaurant for the many years I have been going to Congresos Hotel. He is an amazing asset to your company. So too is the General Manager Andres Vales who knows exactly how to run a successful hotel. Customer Satisfaction is key and these two employees ensure that is upheld.

The rooms are not well soundproofed, the neighbor's coughing and the TV from the other side were unfortunately quite audible even in the middle of the night.
This is a modern hotel with spacious, clean rooms. We stayed there the night before our flight and had a comfortable stay. The cafeteria offered a broad choice of food.

Get an iron for the room and this hotel is perfect. No iron in the room or reception, made us late for an early wedding the following morning, with my shirt crumpled in my suitcase and my wife needing to straighten out her dress. Had to go to the shopping centre nearby to purchase one but by the time they opened, it left us very little time to get to the wedding all ironed out. It's such a small detail, I've stayed in plenty of Spanish Hotels from 3 star up to 5, all had irons, or at least one available at the desk. Fix that an this hotel has everything. Still rate this hotel really high, I loved it.
The room was outstanding, loved it. This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel, looking forward to my next stay here. Good choice of breakfast and great location.
