Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Australia10 euros to do a wash and dry.
Basic road stop type hotel. The rooms not beautiful but completely functional. Bar from 4. Meals from 8.30. 150m to Camino. On edge of town. Not too bad a walk. They have a coin operated laundry

United States of AmericaAll was great!
The staff were very friendly and kind. The room was exactly as expected. clean sheets, towels, and soap was also provided. We were very happy with it. There was a nice restaurant and bar downstairs. We had a few drinks, but we didn’t eat there. I think it would’ve probably been very good. Breakfast was the local typical cuisine and greatly appreciated by us! Nice stay. Note to Camino walkers- it’s just off the way (very close) but the services of town are 1k away, so you’ll probably want to eat at the restaurant downstairs if it is within your budget. Otherwise, you should bring your food from town.

NorwayIts old, and it is not a place for a romantic weekend.
It is the first place in Spain that is safe in case of fire. Smoke detectores, firesystem and two emerzgenzy exits. Thats good! Its ok for a pilgrim that not have plans to leave hotel, it is a few hundred meters out of town. Good food.

United KingdomQuite dated interior. Not in the centre however there is a restaurant there so you don’t have to walk in if you don’t want too.
Well priced. Staff helpful. Room reasonable size. Easy to get to Camino de Santiago route. Late check out time.

United KingdomLocation is not great being a bit out of town and the fact that the kitchen was closed was a big negative. There are much better options in Arzua.

Greece- Slow check in - around 25' from the time I walked in to the time they show me my room (normally its not a problem but considering that pretty much all of their visitors have just walked 30km for the Camino, that's an issue) - they tried to sell me *tap* water in a bottle for €2. Really?! - asked for change to use on the laundry service, then while I was waiting another guy asked for the same thing just after me. He was then served and thus got my turn for the laundry. - Poor Wi-Fi (50-170kbps)
Spacious room

United States of AmericaThe breakfast was awful and overpriced. 18.50 Euro for coffee and toast for 3 people. This is not sufficient for hikers in the Camino. The hotel is not on the way on the trail. Do not stay here if you are hiking the Camino, even though it somehow is listed in our Camino guide as a place to stay.

CanadaI felt that 5€ each for a self-service washer and dryer was a bit expensive, as other accommodations offer each of these laundry services (not self-service) at a cheaper price. In addition, if a traveller wants to be closer to other food options at walking distance, this isn’t a good option, though they do have taxis available.
I liked the location - away from the main part of town, which is what I was looking for, and conveniently located to resume the Camino the next day. The manager was also wonderfully attentive and very hands-on, and I received exceptional service.

DenmarkHeating, check in, food, location - ok many things are not good
Had to argue with the janitor to turn on the heating in a freezing room/hotel. I had also walked 30 km in the rain so that didn’t help. Slow check in because the receptionist is working in the restaurant as well. Very noisy at night, there is no rules to be quiet AT NIGHT! It’s ok if you can get a VERY cheap price (<30 euros) or else I would chose a different hotel. Location is not good as well (sorry)…
