Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe fact that it is a therme and spa hotel but you do not have included access to the spa as a hotel guest. A bit old fashioned (specially carpets look a bit gross) and not enough electric plugs in general (you need to unplug the night lamp if you want e.g. charge your phone). In summer not enough possibilities to hang your wet stuff. We got the room to the front part of the building and it had a pretty ugly view (public parking and ugly vacant lot with garbage bins not far from us). If you have the chance, try to get the garden view side! The beds are hard and not comfortable but the room is spacious and has a minibar but not coffee/tee options. The hotel requires a pre-payment over a secured external link which they send you after confirmation of reservation which didn't work at first for us and to get the hotel to contact us took a while (I got no reaction to my messages) and even after contacting them over the booking team, they did not react. I had to call many times before I could get someone to react and send the link again (since the link expires after a while).
The hotel is a bit "old fashioned" (90's decoration style) but clean and tidy. The best at this hotel was for us the huge park-like garden with fountains and ponds and many big trees. The breakfast was in buffet style with a big variety of products included gluten-free options, fruits, eggs (with the possibility to get freshmade omelet) and even cava. The area with the thermal pools and massages is nice as well (entry is not included in the hotel price!). You do have free access though to an outdoor pool, which is nice as well. The hotel is not directly at the beach (Cambrils is the nearest) but not far (approx. 10-15min with the car) but in summer you will be probably thankful, if you want to have some peace at night and luscious gardens. You can park for free outside or you can park for a fair fee, direct under the hotel (at the time we were there 10€/day). Price/performance good, specially for summer/August in Spain!

NetherlandsBit inflexibel in terms of dining facilities. The room service menu cannot be served in the restaurant. The dining card is quite fancy but if you just want a burger or steak you are basically sent to your room. Similarly, the snacks cannot be served on the terrace of the cafetaria, only inside. More flexibility here will definitily boost revenues.
Friendly staf at reception, upgraded our family room to a suite. Very nice. swimming pool, very nice staff, great breakfast!

LithuaniaIt is old hotel, needs to be refurbished and a lit bit more care . We found out at the late hours, that conditioner in one of ours room hasn't worked properly , but it was too late to move to another room , which was offered by front desk manager. Anyway , i presume, such a things could be avoided if someone would have information about such a issues before we move in.
Breakfast was really good comparing to the rest of services .

IrelandThe place can have some renovation , still we understand that a big garden and a lot of areas require big funds. This is not a major thing to avoid the hotel, I've read about the renovation needs in the reviews and almost put me off;still I've been recommended this place and we don't regret staying there.
It was a pleasure and leisure stay for the 3 of us, the garden is the highlight of the place, we had good sleep, nice big rooms, I've tried the Spa and had to say it was good, nice breakfast but expensive (€30/person) we ended up having only the first morning. We will definitely go back when our daughter is bigger so we can all enjoy the Spa

ItalyMy critics are based on food: 1)Food at the restaurant was not good at all. Buffet style with many options but with a pretty poor quality and really expensive compared with quality. A service that has to better to keep high the standard of the hotel. 2) Closing hours of both bar and restaurant ( but also room service for food) do not match with the closing hours of the SPA.

BelgiumI think the room should get an update. The AC made some noise. The mini bar wasn't cold. There were no free sockets to plug in my phone & laptop. I had to unplug the bedlamp as a temporary fix. Better sound proofing would have been nice as well
The garden and the outdoor swimming pool is very beautiful. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and I was glad that they had a couple of gluten free options as well

CanadaThe grounds are incredibly beautiful. Views of the Spanish hills and the property itself feels like you’re staying in someone’s villa- beautiful gardens a pond, and a lovely pool. Just a fantastic setting and great place to get away from the tourist craziness of the coastal areas. Unfortunately what others have said about the interior is also true- there is a beautiful lobby/atrium that looks fairly modern. The lobby connects the two older buildings, which is where all the rooms are. The decor in the buildings is extremely dated and smells of stale cigarette smoke (seriously Spain- get rid of the f“&&)g smoke!). That would all have been fine except for one major issue - the “air conditioning” is atrocious. We had two rooms and they were both very warm (visited in early August). My kids slept fine in their (very warm) room but I found it difficult to sleep in mine. That said, if you don’t mind warmer temperatures and/or visit in slightly cooler months that might not be an issue. Overall I’d say the setting, the beauty of the exterior, and the surrounding town makes this place well worth a visit, but it’s a shame the owners don’t invest some money on the interior (especially the air conditioning). Tip- there are some amazing restaurants in town, which is less than 5 minute walk from the hotel (you have to go through the lobby of the spa, which is behind the hotel, and then you’re right in town). Restaurant Candia has the best pasta al mar I’ve ever had (called Pappardella al mar on the menu) plus fantastic pizza that is very similar to what you’d find in Italy). There a piazza with a coffee shop too.
