Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAir conditioning was not very effective and we were unable to reduce the room temperature below 22.5 degrees at any point. Not keen on the very small bottom sheet on the beds as they can’t be tucked in and they tend to shift very easily and one ends up sleeping directly on the mattress cover.

United KingdomI had to rely on support to open the bedroom door, as it was too heavy and wouldn't stay open to allow me to access the room on my mobility scooter. Staff were happy to help, but it wasn't easy to contact reception by phone. Fortunately my sister was also staying and helped me.
Very welcoming, friendly staff. Spacious well appointed bedroom, specially adapted bathroom was excellent. Good range of breakfast buffet and helpful staff to assist with bringing me my food. Location is good.

RomaniaIt would have been nice to be able to access streaming services on TV. Although the hotel has its own parking, it costs 15 euros/day. The air conditioning was a wall-mounted type and was set to ventilate very slowly, making it extremely difficult to cool the room. Sometimes it felt like there was no cold air blowing.
Comfortable, clean room, excellent beds. The hotel, the reception staff were prompt in providing all the information we needed and very kind.

United KingdomThe water was not always hot particularly in a morning. The aircon system could not be decreased below 22 degrees so it felt a little hot at night when sleeping. I would have preferred to have set it at 18 degrees.
The hotel has been refurbished since I stayed there last year. The rooms are now more modern as are the reception and restaurant. My room was cleaned every day with 4 fresh towels which was welcome. The location is of course ideal being close to the beaches and shops. There is now a fridge in the room which came in useful.

CanadaThe room is very basic, I don't have a problem with this though, it's a Travelodge...you get what you pay for.
What stood out the most for me about the Travelodge was the neighbourhood it was located in. It was my cousin and I's first time in Barcelona and Poble Nou is an amazing place to stay. The Travelodge is located only a 10 min walk from Bogatell beach and just a short distance away from all kinds of restaurants and cafes. It didn't have the buys tourist feel that central Barcelona had, it was a lot more local which was refreshing. It was safe to walk around in all times of day, and the stay itself was clean and practical. What stood out most to us was the comfort of the beds! We were very pleasantly surprised.

Finland- Not only the internet is not free in a place that costs more than 10 eur a night, but also their lobby wifi is pretty crippled. I stayed for two nights and this fact ruined one of them. - Technician guy knocked onto the door, heared me saying NO and still ram in. Either "no" was a Very Difficult English Word for him, either he was too eager to change a light bulb (cmon, really?).
- Excellent location. Several minutes to the sea through a very beautiful cemetery. Really, come see that columbarium, it's nearly a pere lachaise level. - Friendly receptionists. Thank you, guys. The breafast is rather nice. You won't regret buying it if you're a morning bird. - Comfortable room. It is just good - everything is clean, functioning and in a good condition.

United KingdomThe lifts can get very busy certain times of the day but there are stairs. WiFi is an option but you have to pay for it in the room. It is available free of charge downstairs near the reception for all those that need access and there are tables and chairs for those working/studying.
The staff were friendly and considerate of all the guests in the vicinity. The 24/7 front desk and restaurant was a bonus and food was good (with a variety of choices for food and drink). It was usually quiet in the evenings and the desk staff were always available making it safer for solo travellers or smaller groups. The room was a good size with air con and the rooms were cleaned regularly. Vending machines near the entrance to the hotel for snacks and drinks (coffee/tea at €2 and snacks ranging from €2-€5). The beach was within walking distance and there were bakeries/shops around the corner. The beach had a separate area for those requiring wheelchair access and there are lifts and transport options throughout the city as well. Transport links to and from the hotel were great and staff can arrange for a taxi to Barcelona airport (if needed) and they will confirm the cost of the transfer at the front desk. This is a perfect location for beach lovers, city/weekend breaks and long stays, as there is so much to see. If you get a chance check out the BusTuristic tours, ticket costs approx €30 each and the night tour in Barcelona was beautiful. Best thing we did! We would definitely come back and stay at the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful holiday break.
