The constant road noise, being awakened at 4:45 am by the delivery wagon to the supermarket adjoining the hotel. The cost of 50 euros for two breakfasts ,shocking as the restaurant was just a glorified Cafeteria. Cost of 12euros for one nights parking, Don’t know why this cost was because it was also the free car park for the supermarket customers. No tea or coffee making facilities. The reception staff were very disinterested when we notified them of our poor nights sleep Certainly would not recommend or stay there again.

    The cleanliness.

If you're coming mostly to see the churches and museums, location is not optimal, it's not a huge city, but walking to the center was around 30-40 minutes I believe. The whole area where the hotel is situated leaves a strange impression - looks like the city invested heavily in shiny modern buildings and then didn't know what to do with it. Regarding the hotel itself - the underground parking is shared with Mercadona. It's nothing bad per se, but there're no restrictions to enter the hotel through parking and go to whatever floor you like - this is not a great thing in my view. And then a minor complaint - the toilet paper is as cheap as it probably gets. Not that you come to a hotel with this in mind, but it undermines all the efforts and makes you look cheap, which I don't think a 4* hotel should be doing.

On the positive side, Tryp hotel offers great value for money, that's what should be remembered when reading following pieces of criticism. And it's still a nice decent place and not a bad option for a base to see both the historic points of interest in the center of Zaragoza and the modern architecture around it.

For unknown reason, this part of Zaragoza is not easy to navigate using any navigation app I tried, including google maps,! The GPS signal gets lost there. This is complicated by strange system of streets that needs to be managed (no u-turns for kilometers) around the bus/train station. This is not the hotel fault but needs to be mentioned for those who will drive to hotel.

    1) Excellent location at the upscale part of Zaragoza city, free parking, next to Mercadona, Lidl and McDonalds, walking distance to rio Ebro and its parks and in the Expo side of town, and for athletic spirits it is only 1.5 km to old town! 2) excellent room size (as all Tryp hotels I have been to, in Spain), bathroom clean with full amenities and beds are comfortable. A/C is excellent. 3) wifi is free and strong. 4) staff members are hospitable and communicate very well. 5) maintained quality: I visited this hotel 2 years ago and it is still kept well maintained and appears as new. 6) breakfast menu is worth the money you add to cost of reservation. Satisfies all tastes (but with no written signs for types of meat, so still you need to ask about source of meat for non-pork eaters)!

Kettle in room, great to make a cup of coffee when you really fancy one.convenient to reach from train station and the cheap bus ride into central area from bus stop around the corner. Room given at first smelt of smokeeven tho non smoking room, changed rooms within minutes no problems.

Lunch menu seems to be always the same, and dinner doesn't change much either. Restaurant only opens for lunch at 13h30 and for dinner at 20h. I understand in Spain they have their meals later than usual, but I think they should consider normal meal times for foreigners as well.

Nothing to point out, almost everything was great. Enjoyed a lot the "Telepizza roomservice" and breakfast was amazing, even if slightly expensive. Great value overall anyway.

When we arrived the two receptionists were busy and 2 people were already waiting. In 5 minutes there were at least 10 more people waiting behind us plus a large group of tourists arriving. The two receptionists kept babysitting the same customers apparently without noticing the long line of nervous people waiting. Reception inefficient and understaffed. There is a restaurant/bar - food is unappealing and seriously overpriced. At least in our room the window cannot be opened fully, so even for a smoker this is not pleasant. These windows should be unlocked such as to ensure ventilation.

A McDonalds and a Lidl supermarked are just next to the hotel. We didn't really wanted to have a romantic dinner at McDonalds but considering hotel's alternative we have had to do so (see above). We appreciate that the hotel has dedicated smokers rooms, but again, see above.

Railway station is very close to the hotel, Zaragoza Expo is 15 mins walk away, city center is 30 mins walk away. Two grocery stores are at both sides of the hotel, also McDonald's is very close. Highly recommend to stay there.

It can get quite noisy in the evenings in some rooms because of the nearby McDonald's right across the road, which is attended by young and loud visitors.

The hotel rooms were modern , bigger than most I have stayed in , clean and with good facilities. The beds were a little hard for my tastes ( but then most Spanish beds are) the pillows were good though and I had a wonderful nights sleep. Will be coming back for a longer stay next time. The breakfast was very good too, lots of choice . The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Stayed overnight here to break a drive from Bilbao to Barcelona. Hotel is easy to find from the motorway on the west side of the city and has secure underground pay-parking. Twenty minute walk into the centre of Zaragoza – on the way don’t miss the Palacio de la Aljaferia, an amazing and very interesting piece of Spanish history. We had dinner in the hotel in a largely empty restaurant as we ate early (at 8pm!) but a pleasant meal while being able to watch the Euro football on the TV. Our room was OK and breakfast satisfactory. Excellent for an overnight stop and easy to get away and onto the motorway in the morning.
