They have to change my room, cos the bath drainer was full of hair, the water struggle to go away, cos the amount of hair on it, hair on the floor too, that's dirty. The person in charge doesn't sweat

    The bed is comfy.

There doesn't appear to be disabled access to the hotel reception so may need to check in advance before travelling. Rooms are not air conditioned but that didn't really bother us with an mid-October break.

Bed linen was superb and the corridors were so clean I thought the polished tile surface was a water leak! Well done that cleaner. The hotel is very conveniently situated for San Sebastian (by train or bus) so it could be a good idea to base yourself here rather than endure the hassle of driving into San Sebastian and finding and paying for a parking space. Plenty of nearby bars or you can just pop into the bar/cafe on the ground floor of the hotel - where you can also find breakfast. Good, medium sized screen on the digital (excellent for finding British language commentary) telly too. A gritty but very friendly little town.

Staff were not very friendly especially to the children. The rooms are tiny and very basic. Barely room to move, hotel is in desperate need of a refresh! Noise from the road was also pretty loud. The area was not very nice. We arrived at 10pm and my husband went out to find some water and food and said it was a rough area

    It had hot running water

Dirty room. The room looks OK but behind curtains, massive dusts and bugs. House keepers neither clean window frame nor behind the drapes. Some bugs bites but the staffs hand me a insect spray instead of change room. Also shower booth has drainage problem, takes long to drain. Good parking lot but uneasy to get a space at late evening.

    Kind staffs

The hotel has the atmosphere and charm of East Germany in the 1970s. The rooms are spartan and in need of renovation. The receptionist was surly and spoke little English. The reception is up a set of steps so not good for those with limited mobility. Considerably overpriced.

Lots of stairs to get in. Had to carry my bike and luggage up to reception. Not suitable for wheelchairs or the disabled.

Staf spoke good English, and were helpful. The room was clean, and quiet. Cheap, clean accommodaion; no food, but there's a good bar/restaurant next door that also does a 4 euro breakfast. 15 minutes stroll to the town centre.

The only improvement I would suggest is air conditioning in the rooms, but that is rare in Spain. Americans just need to adjust to warmer rooms when in the evenings. There was a ceiling fan and if you open the windows the rooms cool overnight.

The staff were very helpful when we arrived and discovered that our luggage had not been transferred from our last hotel. Within an hour our luggage had arrived and he had made arrangements for another hotel the next night and for our luggage transport. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're walking the Camino or otherwise.

There is no air-conditioning. Only a very loud fan on the table in the room. Room is quite warm and stuffy at night. Have to open the windows and the loud noise from the Highway and lights from outside of the room. Could not sleep at all. The ceiling in the toilet room of Room 413 is disgusting and dirty. Floors are dusty and the pillow in the room is very smelly of smoke.

    Free parking outside.

Old hotel needing of some renovation. Also hard to find on GPS as the address showing is not very easy to find. You need a car if you want to go to San Sebastian.

Value for money compared to other options in the San Sebastian area. Nice spacious rooms.

I was quite disappointed with the bathroom as it is very dated and I feel that bathrooms and beds in hotels can make or break the deal. When a bathroom is that old it does tend to have a particular old musty rusty pipe odor but with Housekeeping tending to cleaning the bathroom every day was a big plus. Additionally, I didn't care for the shower nozzle as it was the hand-held type. I did NOT like the advertised restaurant. First off, the hotel's website boasts photos of this elegant looking restaurant that does exist (when decorated) but it is not in use. I was told that it is only used for large parties / banquets. I was under the impression that I would dine here on occasion but this is not the case. Instead, we were steered in the direction of another restaurant which is next door and if your diet is one that consists of nothing but hamburgers/cheeseburgers and papas fritas, then you'll be in heaven. For someone like me, this was a nightmare and arriving there late and not knowing what other options were close by; I was very much disgusted. The waiter was not accommodating one bit as he made no efforts to try to come up with alternatives from his kitchen. I never gave this restaurant another look. Their service and food was terrible!

The lobby area was inviting in the sense that it welcomed guests with a nice clean fragrance. The bed was comfortable and appeared to be fairly new. It offered the right amount of firm support. Also, the wifi was great. I also liked that there is a parking lot and we never failed to find a spot even late at night. The proximity to San Sebastian City Center wasn't too bad, perhaps 20 minutes away. Housekeeping was terrific as they cleaned the room daily (and bathroom) and provided clean towels. If it were not for Housekeeping cleaning the bathroom daily, we would have switched over to another hotel as the odor would hit you as soon as you open the door to the room.

No plug in sink or bath, tide mark around the bath. Soundproofing of rooms.

Easily located (just off the main road south), easy parking, walking distance to bars & restaurants (less than ten minutes), price, good coffee shop & bar underneath the hotel.

Although good value, a kettle, small fridge and hair dryer would have been good. Room a bit stuffy but there was a window to open. Noise from other rooms until 1am.

Clean and functional. Convenient for San Sebastian if you have a car.

Maybe the restricted opening of the restaurant, but the food in the bar was good value for money. The timing of the last bus from San Sebastian made in awkward to eat in the city but that did not make the hotel a disappointment.

The hotel promised what it said it would. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was clean and the bathrooms were in good condition, which is critical for any hotel accommodation.

    - no airco, just a fan - starcase to reception, no lift. (there is a lift from reception to the floors above but not from streetlevel to reception on the first floor, irritating when travelling with 4 cases of 23 kgs each. - bathroom was very dated (room 316) and in need of refurbishment

    - free parking near hotel - free wifi was fast - near N1, so easy acces to San Sebastian and Tolosa
