How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Only couple of niggles. You could hear car noise from the room I was in - from the busy road outside (didn't bother me personally though). I could hear people talking into the early hours. I was not quite sure where it was coming from ? It was not from above but might have been the balcony room next door? the mattress was a bit hard to my taste.
Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean everywhere even under the bed ( something rolled under the bed so had to retrieve it!). Had a room on the 7th floor with a balcony overlooking the road with a view of the mountains,. Room was quite large with a nice bathroom also. Fridge in the room stocked with beer, juice, water which were fairly priced. Air con hot and cold , the weather was cold when I was there and the heating done the job perfectly. TV in the room mostly Spanish choices. Lovely breakfast room on the lower floor with lots of choice with nice coffee and tea (even English breakfast tea which you don't find everywhere) with friendly staff. Reception staff also very friendly and helpful. Perfect location in the beautiful city of Girona. Just 10/15 walk from train station and minutes to the old town over the bridge .

The rooms were a little dated and the bed was slightly hard, but otherwise it was perfect
Great location, excellent facilities and wonderful staff. The breakfast was wonderful, as was the roof terrace.

Lack of hooks for jackets etc
Great location a stone's throw away from the old city and all the bars/cafes/shops. The room was very big and had a fridge in the room. Breakfast was amazing!

No free water in the room and the amenities mentioned in the booking like the electric kettle and other toiletries were not there, you need to request them. It does not have any directory where you can call the reception if you need something.
Breakfast was great and the staff are friendly.

The noise in the bedroom that was not soundproof and the hot water temperature that varies frequently during the bath

Saturday night noisy with terrace bar open until 2 and shouting outside through the night. Parking very useful but quite a challenge to reach basement 3 with a large car.
Excellent location, helpful staff, nice room with terrace.

How comfortable my stay was with my pet. They had a bowl in our room and gave us doggy bags at check in. Highly reccomended especialy for pet owners 🖤

Excellent location for visiting the old town. Very good breakfast. Our room was really big but our daughters was much smaller. Hotel parking was good.

Would have been nice to actually have a full sized box of kleenex instead of a small travel packet (just returning from a ski trip and had runny noses).
Excellent location, next to a wonderful park where we can walk the dogs and very close to the shops and restaurants in the old town. Easy to get to from the highway as we were traveling home from France.

The rooms are a little outdated and a little small. Beds in the rooms are okeish, but still the value for money is pretty fair. Same goed for the bathroom, everything works and is clean, but little outdated
Location of the hotel is amazing. Easy to walk from the hotel to the city center. They have an internal parking garage available, which is convenient and the rooftop terrace offers very good cocktails and amazing view over the city

Terrace not open all the time so limited area to just chill and relax other than in your room.
The secure bicycle garage was fantastic which also had tools and track pump available to use there too. The hotel garage exit meant you could be on a cycle path that ran under the rail line almost immediately which reduced the need to navigate a lot of the road traffic.

Not really a dislike just a shame the rooftop bar wasn’t open more ( opened at 6pm)
