    Nothing really.

One nice big room, which was spotless and very quiet. All amenities were top notch. It's right on the N630 but right in the city. Very well connected. Lovely pool area and great parking. Receptionist was very charming and helpful.

8 euros a day charge for hotel car parking.

Friendly can do staff, airy clean bright hotel, very good breakfast, walking distance 10 minutes to main Roman attractions, restaurant and cafeteria in the hotel, pool, supermarket and pub across the road ( you need a good drink in Merida's 40C summer...), easy check in and check out, overall a good experience would return.

The room was tiny and the decoration is not it's forte. It says it is roman style but no way near there.. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good, almost bigger than the bedroom.

Nothing really except from the bed, it was an average hotel for a 4 stars one.

This is a very old hotel that seems to be stuck in the 80's, and you feel that in the decoration and even the smell of the place. It needs a deep refresh. Also, the sound isolation is quite bad between rooms. Finally, I feel that the hotel parking should be given and not paid for, as you find plenty of parking spaces nearby and there's not really a street parking charging policy in place in Merida.

The location is very good, and breakfast was varied. The staff was also helpful.

Other guests banging their doors and shouting outside their rooms until late. Not the hotels fault, but a gentle reminder on arrival to guests to show due consideration after 23.00 to others might help? Despite the above would stay again, hopefully it was a one off.

The fact that when I rang the hotel and spoke to the night porter he said that it wasn't there. I was so certain that I drove there anyway and the housekeeper had it. I would have thought that the housekeeper would have told reception who could have checked if a booking had been made under that name. Then they would have seen that I had a booking and could have contacted me. It caused a lot of stress and changed my travel plans. They could even have contacted Booking.com who could then have contacted me, just a suggestion but a sensible one!

That I was able to pick up my lost passport.

Hotel was a bit careworn, needs a little bit of updating, which is probably why it's good value.

Reasonably convenient location if you have to stop here in the middle of nowhere. Easy to get into town and to restaurants. Not much to see in town. Everything depends on being interested in Roman ruins. If you're not interested, then a wander around the busy streets, trying to spot the cranes nesting on the rooftops, is very enjoyable. Lovely, friendly crowds.

The hotel price which is mentioned on booking.com does not include the IVA of 10%. The roomrate needs to be increased with 10% as well as the parking (when needed).

Big struggle to find someone to translate the Restaurant menu for us, but we weren't in a hurry and it was quite amusing.

The Hotel has masses of parking, some under shade, for a small extra cost. It is 10 minutes walk from the Roman Amphitheatre and the start of the tourist sightseeing train route which is good for orientation. Large Supermarkets very nearby in you need to make a picnic. Helpful staff, especially nice guy in the cafeteria, which was very good value for bar meals. We ate in the Restaurant, as we were tired from sightseeing. The waiter really was called Manuel and would have fitted in at Fawlty Towers with no problem.

Good hotel parking. The town has some extensive and impressive Roman remains...theatre,amphitheatre,temple,villa, mosaics.

Value for money, it is rather a 3 star, but higher priced. The room was quite dark and hot. Better to take breakfast outside.

The hotel is in the walking distance from the Roman landmarks and the city center. The staff is quite friendly, and it's clean.

the room was very tight for space and the other guest (in groups) were very noisy (shouting in corridors and slamming doors) in the evenings and late at night. Had to ring reception to complain - they sounded sympathetic but nothing changed.

Parking was 7 euros a day, the lot is next to the hotel and I am pretty sure they own it. No breakfast included, I would have paid more for the room and it would have added up to more than what it was worth. The worst bed I have ever had in a hotel. My wife and I couldn't believe with all the nice parts of the hotel the bed should be a number 1 priority at a touristic location. We wish we had gotten a different hotel just because of how sore our backs were by the end of three nights.

The location was near sights, parking available, and walking in the surrounding area was great. The hotel and room were very, very clean, and the staff was nice. The room was great size and the bathroom was bigger than the picture looked online. Provided a great crib for our 10 month old daughter.

Don't pay for the private car park in advance, decide when you have booked in, as it's not secure and in the open. I have stayed at other hotels where the same parking would be free.

Directions could have been slightly clearer on booking.com. Its just off Reina Sofia and not actually on it. Its actually on Augusta Octavia (direction away from centre).

Helpful staff. Comfortable room. Distinctive decor in bedroom. Good breakfast. Top marks to the helpful lady who let us eat our breakfast undisturbed even though we went in at the last minute - our watches were still on Canarian time, doh!!

There was no coffee, tea or even water available on the room. The room was quite small and constrained. For the price and to be classified as 4**** it was no worthy. We have been at 3*** star hotels with much better facilities.

Originally, only booked 1 night, but at check in, decided on 2. However, our door keys after first night were cancelled and we surprisingly had to get new keys. Minor inconvenience.

Hotel was very nice with adequate parking lot beside building. We walked to all the main attractions, Roman amphitheatre, bridge, etc. The city had much to offer, many sidewalk cafes, stores, but was quite crowded. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the young gentleman at reception when we arrived. Breakfast staff also very pleasant.
