How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewWow!! This is a VERY BEAUTIFUL hotel on our Camino. Well worth the extra cost from traditiknal albergue. So comfortable and very nicely renovated in a traditional style. Grest shower and comfy bed!! Owned and managed by a very nice husband wife. Could have stayed here a week!! Food options nearby are limited but found a nice salad and paella at a restaurant just a 3 minute walk. We would say here again 100 times yes!!
Thank you very much !! Daina y Carlos

Verified reviewStunningly beautiful restoration and sympathetic modernization of a 17th century gem. Exquisitely finished and detailed. Perfect facilities - glorious shower and the most comfortable bed on the Camino. Lovely sitting room to relax and enjoy the view over the countryside.

Verified reviewAbsolutely beautiful and attention was paid to quality and comfort. The salon with its beautiful view and availability of reasonably priced snacks/drinks was appreciated.
The included breakfast was a little minimal (coffee and toast), and host didn’t direct me to the small selection of fruit available. An offer of a second coffee or juice/water would have been appreciated. (I did see water out at the little buffet as I left, but it was out of sight of where I was seated and the host did not direct me to help myself, though I sat at the table for some time wondering if toast was really all that was offered.) This was 90% my fault for not being more observant, but as I was the only person in the dining room, it would have been nice to have been pointed in the direction of the little table with fruit and maybe yogurt…

Verified reviewOh my gosh, this property blew me away. It is so beautiful! The central courtyard area is so lovingly decorated with places to relax and unwind. They also have bicycles if you wanted to go for a ride. My room was so beautifully appointed with a gorgeous view out over the countryside. There was one other room opposite mine then the rest of the building was a kitchen/dining area and a lovely lounge room with massive windows overlooking the countryside. It also included a beautiful breakfast the next morning.

Verified reviewBeautiful property and rooms. Views were wonderful. Common area had snacks. They packed us a great picnic breakfast since we were departing early on the Camino. Staff was wonderful.
They didn’t offer dinner and it is in a smaller town, so limited options for food. But the was a few bars across the street.

Breakfast could be made better
Thank you very much, we are sorry about the breakfast, but you asked for a cold breakfast to go because you were leaving early and we left you a ham, cheese and chorizo sandwich with an apple, a banana and two local sweets totally free. We also have cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, fruits, yogurts, butter, jam, coffees etc., but you preferred to leave earlier even though you didn't, but we invited you to coffee anyway. Greetings from Daina & Carlos

Verified reviewThis historic property is beautifully maintained and welcoming. My room in the Salon building was large and modern with access to the common room where a large window gave open vista views to the mountains. The binoculars on the table allowed for spying on the cows and cranes outside. Hosts are very accommodating. Would have Loved to stay here with my mountain bikes to explore the area.
The property was lovely but restaurant options in the area are limited if you don’t have a car.

There is a beautiful salon to sit and enjoy the view and an honor fridge with wine for sale… I left at 530 am and a to go breakfast was waiting in the dining room for me… I only wished I stayed longer!!

Verified reviewThis was the best albergue I stayed at in my 40 days of walking. It’s a restored 300 year old house. The attention to detail is incredible. There is a lounge area that has an incredible view. They sell snacks and drinks for a small fee in the communal kitchen. When I told the host that I wanted to leave earlier than breakfast time, she accommodated me. Truly amazing.
Nothing. All was above and beyond expectations!

Verified reviewThis is a very charming, fully restored villa with 5 guest rooms, a nice courtyard, and a cozy room for breakfast. We left early, so the host had prepared some food for our breakfast the night before. The bathroom was wonderful. The villa was about 2 short blocks from the Camino, and there were a couple of restaurants nearby that had great food. The population of this village is 50 people, so it is very quiet and relaxing. No shops.
