To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Russiaapparently, there is an outdoor cafe right under the balcony and loud voices kept you awake until 2 am night, even with the balcony door closed. The manager at the reception said that all the rooms were non-smoking, but in my room there was a huge hole burned by a cigarette right in a visible place on the chair next to the table :-( If the room is non-smoking, why show all guests that there is smoking in the room? Or simply replace the fabric on top of the chair.

EstoniaDoes it really deserve to be classified as a 4-star hotel? Maybe, but I am not pretty sure. (But I am aware of the fact that it would be much more expensive if everything was perfect and the hotel was more central, considering the remarkable expensiveness of accommodation in central/downtown Barcelona.) Well... There is obviously a sound isolation issue as I could hear noises from adjacent rooms and the hallway. Unless I turned on the lights, my room was dark even on sunny days, it's due to the location of the room whose windows face the bottom of the narrow building shaft. You could have served coffee and milk in the kettle tray set along with tea. The minibar was somewhat overpriced in my opinion. There is no A/C or ventilation in the bathroom either. On the other hand, the glass separator of the bathtub should have been larger.
The hotel's location is good: It could have been more central, but there is a metro station near the hotel that helps you head to the downtown area or other landmarks of the city if you are tired of walking. Plus there are many restaurants and markets around it. Just across the hotel, there is a supermarket from which you can buy snacks and other needs. The staff treated me well and most could speak English well enough. My room looked small at first glance to be honest, nevertheless, it was so cosy and sufficient for a single guest, so I didn't make a fuss over it. My bed was large and comfortable enough. The bathroom was full of good-quality amenities. The housekeeper lady paid attention to making up the room every day. The breakfast service was satisfactory, however coffee mugs were so small and the coffee was not good. I used the hotel's Wi-Fi service hassle-free as well.
