Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Excellent host, who was very flexible with some of our requests. Also great location. Very well equipped apartment with good oven and dishwasher. About 15 min walk from the station, good bus connections to Santa Village etc. Spacious apartment with plenty of natural light (summer!), good beds, no complaints at all.

Clean spacious apartment. Comfortable beds. Plenty of bedding and towels. Close to town centre. Lots of extras provided which was helpful eg toiletries and cleaning liquids.

Check out was 12:00 however on arrival we were advised that the under ground car park gets cleaned every Wednesday and the cars need to be out at 10am. This meant we had to be super organised with packing and moving the car before this point which was frustrating as we hoped for a chilled morning before our flight. This really was the only negative though.
The apartment was perfect for our needs, the 4 beds in the lounge worked well for the children leaving two bedrooms for the adults. Lovely bathroom with a sauna. We were only there for one night to stop over between Ruka and flying home but would have been happy in the space for longer. Didn’t get to explore the local area but right next to a supermarket and I assume walking distance to the centre.

Didn't receive the full initial email with access instructions so that was a little stressful but was not the hosts fault, think it was a glitch on the booking.com system as the host promptly emailed them directly to us without any issue and then also met us at the apartment with the key which was really helpful.
Great location, very clean, warm, comfortable, very well equipped kitchen facilities

There was only one mirror in the entire apartment, and it was located in the bathroom, which was not entirely helpful since the majority of the group were ladies.
Review of Our Stay in Rovaniemi Rating: ★★★★★ Our recent trip to Rovaniemi was made even more memorable by our fantastic accommodation. As a group of six friends, we were looking for a place that could comfortably accommodate us, and we couldn’t have chosen better! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how exceptionally clean and well-maintained the apartment was. It felt like a home away from home, equipped with every amenity we could possibly need for a self-contained stay. One of the highlights was definitely the private sauna. The location of the accommodation is simply unbeatable. It’s just a short walk from the city center, where we found a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes. We loved being able to stroll around and immerse ourselves in the local culture without the need for transportation. Additionally, having a shopping mall nearby was incredibly convenient for any last-minute needs or souvenirs. Transportation was a breeze as well, with a bus stop located just across from the accommodation. This made it easy for us to catch public buses to the airport, Santa Claus Village, and Santa Park. We appreciated how accessible everything was. Overall, our stay in Rovaniemi was delightful, and the accommodation played a huge role in that.

Really convenient to nearby supermarkets and shopping malls. Central to our booked activities for huskies ride and Santa’s village. Parking was free and easy. Loved it and highly recommend.
